If Bardock is a Goku, then so is Goten. And Turles.
I don’t think releasing new/improved versions of songs is inherently a bad thing; the problem in this case is more that an album patch replaces your old versions and you may not be able to go back and get the previous ones if you liked them better.
The official explanation is that SMB3 was a stage play and the Koopalings were only acting the role of Bowser’s kids.
There are two really bad subsets of this trend:
Yeah, even though it’s obvious I’m surprised this isn’t pointed out more often. Where would the Switch be if Nintendo didn’t have a big backlog of games no one played to dump onto the new console during release lulls?
Yeah, I think the similarity between WiiU and Switch is a testament to what a different marketing can make. Take pretty much the same product, make a few minor changes (mainly just the inclusion of a battery pack) and rebrand in a way that more clearly communicates the actual selling points, and a dude becomes a hit.
If we’re being honest MMX boss names/ideas were already a dumpster fire the further along the series got. Some favorites:
How many female MMA fighters or even female athletes at all prove the comment false?
Keep your eye on the ball, bro. Soul Calibur is a fighting game, not a porn game. The male characters are exaggerated for the purpose of strength and combat prowess (thematically consistent) while the female characters are exaggerated for the purpose of sexual appeal (thematically inconsistent). That is the…
Yeah, that’s what I always thought. Since original DK didn’t have a pointy head or tie, it made sense that cranky was the old DK and the DKC one was a younger DK. But then Donkey Kong 94 (which retells the events of the original DK) used Miyamoto’s same tie-wearing design from DKC with Junior appearing on the cover...
“After this, in Donkey Kong 3, Donkey Kong fought an exterminator. Nobody really cares about that one.”
This complete 180 degree swing in color scheme from the previous game feels like a comically loud admission of Rage 1's failings in mass appeal.
I can’t wait to see the mental gymnastics DICE pulls to fit battle royale into the long-standing thematic lean of the franchise.
Sure, but look at Quake Champions, which is also $30 and has been heavily criticized for performance/hitreg/netcode issues yet still has way more concurrent players on Steam than Lawbreakers. The positive and negative reviews alike are filled with statements like “the game is totally broken right now but I bought it…
Also regarding AFPS being a niche genre, Quake Live was netting monthly 500-750 average concurrent players between late 2015 and early 2017. The only reason it dropped is Quake Champions poached half of its players. The genre doesn’t command huge player counts, but it can definitely net 100x more players than…
They didn’t need to say it was an arena shooter, they needed a title, aesthetic, and marketing message which more closely related the actual gameplay. The game didn’t look enough like a team shooter to get Overwatch or Team Fortress fans on board, and it didn’t look like enough of an arena shooter to get the AFPS fans…
If that’s the case, why didn’t UT and Quake fans get behind it? Try asking them and they’ll say it’s not a real arena shooter, it’s just a hero shooter in arena clothing.
People from Id have suggested that Steam and Bethesda players are split roughly 50/50.
Based on what other people are saying, the Xbone wireless controllers don’t actually send the controller signals through the cable when plugged-in though, it just charges the battery. So you can be plugged in and still have wireless connection failures.
