Sorry, pissing on Trump is no longer a “leftist” agenda when even George Bush is doing it.

Since when does something need to be a “big deal” to be worth posting on an entertainment site? It doesn’t matter if it’s A-list devs or D-list devs, if a random homeless guy wearing a Mario t-shirt issued a press release decrying trump supporters, it’d be amusing enough to Kotaku readers to warrant posting, because

Your relevance radar is way off here.

This just makes me think that if Galaxy had included any kind of 2 player mode as in the video, I would have enjoyed it a whole lot more.

No. The basic concept of a tank and healer are extremely broad, open-ended concepts which could be implemented in a shooter in a wide variety of ways. There is nothing in the original implementation of tanks and healers in RPG’s which says that you have to use these specific mechanics when transfering them to a

Seems like a really underwhelming end of year lineup. Everyone has maybe one or two items from the list they’re moderately interested in, and couldn’t care less the rest.

Giving the soldier the sprint ability is not an original idea, that’s how every military FPS works. In a game where every other character has some fantasy gadget for mobility (jet pack, hoverskates, hookshot, etc.) the only way to make the traditional soldier class stand out is to have them run the old fashioned way,

Mercy is ripped straight from Global Agenda. Reinhardt is ripped straight from Global Agenda. Pharah is ripped straight from Global Agenda. No joke.

But Overwatch didn’t invent the idea of a soldier sprinting; it was in tons of military FPS first. Likewise, the idea of dwarves being an engineer class has been in RPG’s for decades. The idea of a turret-building class in an FPS came from Team Fortress first.

Are all the new weapons modeled on BB guns?

Eh, it’s all just a question of mechanics. Generic shooters have generic enemy gameplay because they are all production value with little in the way of mechanics. Overwatch stands out because every character has their own mechanics, though on an indivual they feel mechanically pretty weak.

Ahahaha! Don’t know why you care about some random dude’s opinion about a game you’ve already decided is boring, especially when he hasn’t even played the game and thus has little insight to offer.

Right, because iteration never improves or evolves a pre-existing design. /sarcasm

Yeah, despite using traditional controls, the PC version somehow still felt like a ported-over mobile game. The gameplay (and overworld) just felt kinda simplified to fit on a phone with minimal download time.

I agree that the 2016 Doom guy is just a little too Call Of Halo to be likeable, but also, what’s with those puffy, oversized shoulders on the action figure? I don’t remember seeing that in the game or concept art...it just looks kinda wrong.

For sure, I have never seen so much un-ironic use of Comic Sans in a gamer community.

There are so many cringeworthy examples of 80's pop artists trying to adopt 90's club sounds in an unsuccessful attempt to seem “current” but this song is one of the few times where it worked quite well. I put it up there with U2's ‘Do You Feel Loved’ and Depeche Mode’s ‘It’s No Good’.

Yeah, I gotta say...that assertion would make sense if Ana used any kind of weapon driven by personal strength (i.e. a melee weapon, or even a bow) but when it comes to a rifle, the bullet comes out the same strength regardless of how much force is applied to the trigger.

I applaud Overwatch attempting to introduce a “skill-based” healing procedure, but i just don’t think doing it with a traditional sniper rifle was the right way.

Still not feelin the Gear of War-esque Doom 4 cyberdemon at all. Seeing it in 3D makes me miss the Reaper figs.
