I loved it there. Great combination of high standard of living with cheap travel to all of Southeast Asia. Great food, nice people, just be prepared for the intense humidity.

That's not too bad. My wife spent a semester at Oxford and I'm still paying for that. I suppose anywhere could be less expensive if you do it right and do your homework. I had looked into Sweden and it was going to cost a small fortune.
It's a stereotype that studying abroad is super expensive. It sure can be (looking at you, Europe), but it can also SAVE you money.
Just the default music app playing local music. Interestingly, I restarted my phone after that iMessage but affected me and I haven't had either error again.
That's a really interesting side note, I'll have to give it a try!
I have a weird issue when playing music with the phone locked, if I unlock the phone the music skips to a certain place in the song, I think based on where it was when the phone locked. Anyone else have the same problem?
I use the Clever Coffee Dripper per the advice of Lifehacker (and LOVE it), and although the instructions say to use a fine grind, I prefer a medium grind. Any other Clever Coffee Drippers have the same preference?
I just went to generate it and apparently I need your email address for that. Send it to me and the bonus is $25 with a deposit of $500 or more.
Edit: double post
I've been using Betterment since January and highly recommend it. Although there is a fixed fee (0.35% for starters), there's no trading fee. Which means when I invest part of each paycheck into Betterment there's no fee like other sites. Compared to eTrade at $8/trade *26 paychecks, that's worth $208 in fees over a…
I'm one of the few people who use a point-n-shoot. If I know I'll be taking pictures in advance, my Canon S100 is quite superior to my iPhone 5, and not that much bigger. Indoor video ends up too grainy on the iPhone.
For extra fluffy goodness, separate the egg white in a bowl, beat it until soft peaks, then fold it into the mix of everything else.
A simple, lower-risk way for someone to start investing is Lifehacker-recommended service Betterment.
Aruba has to be the best Caribbean island. All the beaches look exactly like postcard photos, year round. Great food, entertainment, snorkeling, and culture.
I never connected my Google Wallet to any apps, but I did connect it to my bank account, and moving money from Google Wallet to my bank is easy. It just takes a few days like most e-banks. It was a few steps to set up, but nothing out of the ordinary.
A really easy tip that helped me with eye strain is to just turn your monitor brightness down.
I've been using the Clever Coffee Dripper for about 2 years (thanks to a Lifehacker article) and it turned me into a total coffee snob. I even bought a 2nd to bring to work because I can't stand other coffee now. I've converted several friends to whom I've served coffee made from it. So I highly recommend this brewing…
Regarding teaching a class, if you live in Chicago, there's a cool website to help you arrange to teach small scale classes:
Study abroad!
I am very excited about this series. I started recording with garageband and a Samson C01U, then upgraded to Logic, a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, and a ST-55 mic. When researching the new gear, I did a lot of experimenting with mic placement, sound dampening, and proper EQ/compression. I found those made a WAY bigger…
