I just want a truck the size of my old 95 nissan hardbody king cab. Even the "compact" trucks are too much truck than I need. Been hopeful that jeep will finally make a wrangler pickup, but doesn't seem as likely as it did a few years ago. 4wd is a must for me, as is a decent sized truck bed. Wrangler platform is

Wish they would have sold the Jimny here in the US. One of these with a diesel and manual trans would be my ideal commuter/weekend warrior.

More eye catching to me is the big dent in the center of the bumper, unless that's just a optical illusion from reflection.

Quite a few of those around central texas as well. In fact I just sold my 95 4x4 hardbody last year. Regret it because that thing was just so fun to drive. Ones I never see and really want to find are the nissan/datsun 720 pickups.

Hmm, there is potential.

The HEB basket hotrod. Seen it a few times at parades around San Antonio Texas. (HEB is a grocery store chain in Texas for those who don't know)

I also like a good blue, it's fairly similar to the Subaru color as we'll. metallic blue on the frontier, especially looks good on Pro4x models.

im with you, i love the digi dash on my 85. it doesnt just show rpms, it also shows throttle with the graph. However it gets temperamental on me. when there is a bit of a weather change, say on a rainy day in the summer, it likes to shut off. give it a good backhand on the kneeboard right below the ignition and it

I hear you on the auto tranny. Old jap trucks and SUVs need stick shifts, it makes them soooo much more fun to own in my opinion. I was looking at getting a new pro4x frontier with a 6spd, but they are HARD to find.

My 95 Hardbody KC SE-V6 4x4 had 237k problem free miles on it when i sold it, which i regret alot. I had a craving for something new (02 infiniti QX4 4wd), and miss my old hardbody. Ill be buying another one some day. That truck took all kinds of abuse from me, and trucked on like it was nothing. Countless beach

Toyota seems to be in a weird design phase lately. the 4runner refresh is ok, but its just weird looking. the tundra however got worse, although they did make the rear end look much better than last gen.

I was about to post this also. While they do look hideous, I'm glad to see them . They usually signify a teenage girl who is too busy texting and drinking some overpriced frappamocha coffee thing, and has no interest in driving. So I get as far away from cars with these as I can.

I see your 1999 trooper, and will raise you my 1985 300zx, complete with acceleration G meter!.......But seriously, i agree, i never look at these things. only thing i do occasionally look at is the MPG reading, which surprisingly is pretty accurate.

i may be totally alone here, but i feel like this car needs suicide doors for the rear seats, old lincoln continental style. damn sexy either way. like someone else mentioned, i wish they would do away with the raised portion of the hood, or at least soften the raise.

I must of missed your post, as I just posted the same thing. Agree wholeheartedly.

Other than tires, brakes, and oil. I would say timing belt. It may not be overly dangerous (unless it breaks pulling out in traffic), but it can be expensive if your motor is an interference motor, which most V6 and V8 engines with belts instead of chains are. Much more common for I4's to be non interference. Changing

I got no problem with bikers on the road, and I give them all the space they need. It's when they decide to roll right through a stop sign or traffic light that I get upset. I don't care if you have to click your feet out of the pedals, you use the road, you stop at signs and lights just like everyone else. I'm not

I bought mine because I saw one as a little kid and thought it was a Ferrari or something similar. Of course now I know better, but I still love the looks. Luckily Betty still works as it should in my car, so I have no need to disable it. Alot of people who don't know about them are wowed by "Betty", the digi dash,
