NINTENDOn’t Switch, please.
NINTENDOn’t Switch, please.
Yeah, but a pair of JoyCons cost $70, so you may as well splurge and buy a Switch at that point.
Bit no one is gonna talk about Metropolis Street Racer? Arguably one of the most fun, most accessible racing games ever made.
It really rolls off the tongue.
Counterpoint: “Metroidvania” is just fine, has been around for decades, and is an established term that refers to a specific genre of game. Specifically, one in which you’re placed into a maze-like world that requires getting powerups to advance, and once you do, the door is open for incremental backtracking and…
Eh, you are “unlocking” more the map be gaining gadgets/powers so the term makes sense. It doesn’t have to be a 2D scroller in my opinion to be a Metroidvania.
Cool. Gonna start calling them Metro Android Castle Transylvanias now instead.
The vernacular is established, and will remain until people no longer find it useful. You’re fighting this fight about 15 years too late.
I bought my Vita just to play Muramasa Rebirth. It was totally worth it. It’s a gorgeous game (especially on the older Vita models that had the OLED screen) and the DLC character stories are all pretty fantastic. I especially love Okoi and the Demon girl, they’re so fun to play as.
I’d highly recommend it, even if you…
That looks like Sagat’s Tiger Uppercut. Yes, it’s a technical detail. :P
I agree that the 6-button controllers were great, but would any of the included games benefit from the extra buttons? I think I only bought those controllers so I could properly play Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter games, though a few other games might have benefited.
K question. I read a bit more about it. No PC needed. How are they able to do that without compromising quality? It’s not like the thing is massive.
Back to the Moon huh. Let me guess, it’ll have a raid that’s basically crotas end too, so as to keep the lazy devs at bungie from having to do any actual new work on the game. After this last season pass they can kiss my ass if they think I’m giving them another dime for the lazy dlc they keep selling.
because “someone” called the cops and said that Evans was a wanted fugitive
Yeah, you try not primal screaming while you’re doing something that awesome. Can’t be done.
Yeah, but they said that they threw out all of Inquisition’s custom-built systems and started from scratch for Anthem. Seems to me like using the special sauce built for a Dragon Age game, to build the next Dragon Age game, would make more sense than starting with a completely different genre and game style as your…
I’m not sure that matters, though. He still should have known better than to try and force that engine on studios who make games said engine wasn’t tooled for. Anybody making that command-level decision should have known better.
It’s not a BioWare problem.
It’s an American conservative pro-corporate slave labor problem.
I am a pioneer of the virtual reality industry from the mid-90s. I developed training applications in VR and traditional multimedia. At *every* company, every project would be crunched down from your suggested 1 year+…
There’s this thing that has been puzzling me for a while now that this well written article reminded. The argument that EA has been wanting to move away from single play linear games is a known one and it feels fair to assume that they have some data to support that approach. And to be honest, there have been…
