I played the Battlefront 2 beta a total of 5 times in the past few days and after each session, I was given loot boxes. The ‘prizes’ inside ranged from the cosmetic to various (power)level weapons, upgrades and some sort of build tokens. I haven’t paid for anything as of yet (haven’t even pre-ordered the game).

I haven’t done D2's raid (yet) but if the structure is similar to D1's then you shouldn’t fret; the raid will have sections and checkpoints, and those are active for the week. For example you can start the raid on one day, but don’t have to finish it in one day, your progress is saved until the next weekly reset…

Play it again, record the section right after you clear it and send it to Bungie, it seems to be a bug. In my 2 play thrus the waypoint indicator showed up both times (I obviously knew what to do the 2nd time around).

I love that they are doing this! As kids we would always wonder how this character would play in that game; (the obvious) how would Mario do in a Sonic game (and vice versa), how would Arthur(GnG) do in Castlevania, Megaman in Metroid...(Kid Chameleon kind of touched this theme, but it was it’s own game).

No argument there, as I stated, imho Nintendo continuing to support a console they are no longer manufacturing speaks well of them.

In the meantime though, they have the Wii U - a 5-year old console (young, really) with roughly 100 million units sold. Rather than being utter dick-fucks and completely abandoning this console they are extending its lifespan by adding new items on the VC.

Just a tangent, I don’t know that the Metroid Justin Bailey thing was originally perceived as a reward that sexualized the character. I think of my nieces who played as many video games as I did when they were kids (in the 80s). They might have had more interest in playing Metroid because this code would have allowed…
