if you "get it" its pure awesomeness. Think of it as an Unreal powered Left 4 Dead meets "The Hills Have Eyes".

Really? I watched it for a bit but obviously not long enough.

Yes. Killing Floor, Defense Grid, Audiosurf, and The Ball make it worth alone.

Hey McWhertor what's your Steam tag? "Let's play thermonuclear, er I mean, Killing Floor."

TOO SOON =P

Looked good. Yeah I'd sorta fight like that. I'd just make a huge spiked bowling ball sphere that I'd be inside of and just straight fly into whatever I was fighting. Win.

Yeah I plan most of my purchases carefully. Or should I say I purchase all of my full price games carefully. They're games that strike me as having replay value and I research and track them before they launch. Almost all the other games are researched as well and are pounced on as soon as they go on sale on Steam =)

thats true. ill set both my accounts to "Killing Floor".

But a lot of people already owned most or at least one of the above games anyways including myself. There's some hidden gems on there, Killing Floor and Defense Grid being my two recommendations.

Indeed. Why don't you already own Killing Floor or Defense Grid anyways? They've both been on sale for $5 or less multiple times. No wait let me stop sounding like I'm accusing you of something.

but im on that virtual treadmill. Steam owns me. ive got Killing Floor idling in the background and Defense Grid on my other PC on my gf's account...

yeah i saw that too. its a leftover address from back then that hasn't been updated, possibly due to everyone at Apeture Labs being dead from a deadly neurotoxin.

It should. Amenesia isnt a very demanding game. My gf plays it pretty smoothly on a laptop.

Killing Floor, don't forget the hidden gem that is Killing Floor and its pretty impressive new Apeture Science map.

Yep Yep got the achievement for completing all the training last night.

WHile its true that backburner now has Airblast it comes at a 150% ammo increase meaning youll only get 4 blasts out before completely running out of ammo.

You get to load all the game files/install it so the game is all set and ready the instant it unlocks on its release day. Instant gratification, no trip to the store, and keeps you out of those slow, clogged intertubes for everyone on Steam that didnt pre-load it.

It's all good. Didn't keep me from not reading it. It's just that I'm a fighting semi-technical nerd so I was chomping at the bits for stuff like that cause honestly this game does intrigue me.

Nah I've noticed this before. Yes, Capcom had other games in other genre's there as well but cmon, the main heavy hitter most "hardcore" gamers like me was looking for was Street Fighter X Tekken. Am I asking too much for a reporter that a can throw a Hydoken? Plus Hawaii counts as "overseas"? There's not one Kotaku

Hey Kotaku, I get what you're trying to do: get reporters that dont noramlly play the genre of game they're covering so you get a fresh, unbiased impression of said game. I have to say though it's getting kinda annoying to have people write up impressions that are admittedly terrible at said genre. Everybody that
