I played EQ hardcore for 5 years the second year it came out. I worked at a EB at the time and intentionally avoided it for as long as I could cause I knew it would hook me...and it did.

I saw RIFT at PAX and I gotta say it was a completely EQ inspired game. That's what I instantly though when I saw it. It was an updated 60/40 EQ WoW split and that alone gave me pause for RIFT.

Im a fan of Steam so Im all for digital distribution. one of the next gen consoles will support it as a main form of purchase and play for games...with an SSD hard drive as well.

Speaking from experience in my new Toshiba Qosmos gaming laptop the SSD has already spoiled me. I only have the OS and program files on 64 GB SSD (games and media go on the 7200 RPM hard drive...for now).

I usually don't finish games cause I like to come back to them later. Sometimes the journey is better than the ending and I'll backtrack and do all the cool side stuff and really enjoy the game, holding off beating it.
