Same here - Reid was the true everyman, and offered a sincere voice that sometimes gets lost in the usual Top Gear-esque atmosphere. He was fun to watch and seemed to work well with Harris and LeBlanc. A footballer and a cricket player... these guys set off my douche-bag alert.
