Hmmmmm.....interesting. I really liked "The Kingdom" because it humanized the Saudi characters so nicely, but then again, Mann did that extraordinary version of "The Last of The Mohicans", didn't he?

Two examples do not a trend make, moron.
Yeah, that movie as a whole is pretty damned amazing. Was that a Peter Berg movie? Because he seems to have this effect on movies he's in, even if he doesn't direct. "The Kingdom"——which he did, though it's not a Cruise movie——is another flick which has some surprising emotional impact. Ahem. Sorry.
He was absolutely riveting in "Collateral. "
Yeah, his female characters are defined by their marital status, degree of religious fervor, attractiveness, and if they trip while running from the vampire. Or whatever.
Yeah, she has a stunning tin ear. Natalie Portman's got a few jaw droppers to her credit, too. There's one where she talked about the recession was kind of thrilling, that people were facing exciting choices or something.....
There's a deleted scene where The Other is threatening Loki with something that hints at what he might already have endured.
Yeah, the only way this wouldn't be a stupid story is if certain guys were in the sweats. Only a few guys could wear them and not look like Al Bundy.
For me, the ick factor has always been the way she sneered one time, "I'm sorry, I just can't act like somebody who makes $25, 000 a year."
Yeah, exactly. He even has Frannie mouth one of the classic MRA whines, too.
One girl versus a posse of horrible shrews plus a monstrous religious freak mother? Delores is the rare occasion he got it right——but then there's "Misery." He does seem to write pre-adolescent girls well.....but their mothers are cyphers.
Waistband's just string. Even a derringer would be solid metal.
I dunno. His female characters always seem to get stuck in the "girlfriend" or "girl" roles.....wives, girlfriends. The men have dreams and imaginations in King's books——-the women just have shopping lists at best. And that telepathy thing really needs to go away. It's just sloppy writing.
Well, she was in a casual setting in the movie, so... She had a pretty small scene, though.
I want to know how a firearm in sweatpants doesn't involve dragging them down. Are we supposed to buy this?
Given that Loki is the Norse trickster god, I kind of think he came first.
"Reign"? No. Rein. Sorry. Ugh. That's all I can handle right now.
Rich people always assume everything and everyone has a price tag but they value nothing and ultimately they can just buy a new one. In reality, there's all kinds of currency and earning doesn't mean money——the classic 'blood, sweat, toil and tears' are the price everyone else pays.
Do these dipshits really think that a POC in today's America doesn't know what it's like to be subjected to racial discrimination? Also, is anybody going to try and make the argument that indentured servitude is the same as being born and dying while being treated as a thing? That never gets old.
"But expecting a 2, 000-year-old institution to do a 180...."
