As a lifelong resident of the Manhattan area until the age of 29, I honestly have to commend you for printing what is obviously such an illogical, sexist argument. There is such a close-minded, good ol' boy environment in that community, that no one calls anyone out on their bullshit. Abuse is heaped on any who try,

I always gave the dudes I dated nicknames. There was Anger Management, who told me on our first date that he hoped he went to heaven, so he could see his ex-wife burning in hell. Double Barrel lived in a camper hooked up to his friend's house/utilities and spent all of his money on hunting gear/trips. Captain America

Last sentence = best thing ever. VERY well put.

I was worried Jenny Packham would be the only show worth looking into. While Calvin Klein has been overshadowed lately by designers professing to be more avant-garde (read: ugly and/or unwearable), he never fails to remind consumers that clean lines and simple color palettes...pretty much what designers actually

Wow. She might be a decent writer, but her site looks like a web developer shat out a bunch of HTML code, then went and pasted it into Drupal.

*GASP* Sophisticated (read: not bedazzled, like VS) lingerie for women with small chests like MEEEEEE? I must go to La Perla posthaste!...and buy one thing, which is all I could afford.

Did the women who wrote "The Rules" write this hair piece? (Pun not intended.) When we first started dating, I told my boyfriend that a ponytail was my "lazy" look. He proceeded to tell me that was one of his favorite hairstyles on a girl. Just like girls in baseball caps, it's casual and cute. Suck it, societal

The shade throwing = bad, but the exhibitionist thing...well, I mean, Dunham has been photographed without pants at least a few times now. And not on the show. It's starting to seem more an act of defiance than for the sake of art. Not to mention it's like when the 50-something, rail-thin woman at my gym walks around

Yes, please, now, thank you.

You can love her, or you can hate her (which I really don't get...dislike her acting, fine...but hate?), but Anne Hathaway is a classy dame.

But UNDO PRAISE, guys. Also, I'd like to dick punch this charming fellow.

Maybe this says more about my state of mind today, but all I could think was, "Wouldn't it be sad if that dog is actually paralyzed and that guy is just capitalizing on his dog's disability?" I need some uppers or something...

This story was in mainstream media, too, but they only captured the positive side...Kozerski's photos taken in dressing rooms, a la this NY Daily News piece. http://www.nydailynews.com/life-style/health/photographer-julia-kozerski-turns-camera-dramatic-weight-loss-journey-article-1.1169622

I think part of this column is spot-on...women trump men these days in terms of hustle and flexibility. I couldn't begin to count the number of women I know who are making bold moves in an effort to make their dreams happen. Dudes? Nope. Or if they do have dreams, all they do is talk about them. They never make a move.
