I’ve been watching the first season again and I have to say that this show has been pretty consistent from the get-go, almost amazingly so. For instance:

I found this episode really frustrating as it brought up several of my least favorite things

I am so disappointed in Niylah. But I am glad she is still alive.

How is Echo my favorite character on the show now? (Well maybe other than or equally with Clarke and Raven). All of her scenes in this episode landed. I liked how she even won over Octavia, who with good reason despises her, with her sensible plans that put her at horrendous risk but helped protect her people, which

Oh man, I really liked Clarke and Niylah’s thing from previous seasons, and I was so happy to see Jessica Harmon’s name in the opening cast credits. Guess Clarke & Niylah are not a thing anymore.

After some digging, this quote is attributable to a man named Lincoln who was secretary to President Kennedy, not to be confused with Abraham Lincoln’s secretary named Kennedy.

So.... Ivankarma?

If we lowered the driving age to 13, then those kids could have been playing in nice, safe cars and would have been protected.

I’ve always wanted to, but I feel like for every story like this I can come up with a hundred horrible people who do just fine in life.

You guys gotta look further down the rabbit hole! THIS IS CLEARLY POST-SURGERY MELANIA IN HER NEW IDENTITY.

Karma is a feckless cunt.

Wow...nothing snarky from me today. If you believe in karma, this is a prime example that eventually it comes, even fifty years on.

“Vengeance is mine,” saith the Ford.

News of a man dying on a little league field was especially terrifying for Danny Almonte’s family.

I have no idea what these evil white men who own all of the NFL do for a living

You’re not alone at all. Most people like it. Just like most people liked Last Jedi. Star Wars fanatics are simply the most irritating on the internet in this current era.

Careful - someone’s liable to tell you you’re not a “true” Star Wars fan because you’re not viscerally angry that it wasn’t the movie you had in your head.

(...) and too under-conceived to hold anyone’s interest, including the camera’s.

I, as someone who also doesn’t understand the appeal of James Franco, live for a good ol’ Iggy takedown. Everything you need to know is in that first line’s relative clause: “whose résumé as a director is as extensive as it is undistinguished”.
