That’s a hilarious and informative book. I’ve read it twice. As an added bonus, I’m from Oak Park like Wendy, and her dad is on a Facebook group I belong to. :)
ooo I didn't know that. Ty!
I've always said MN is a big small town; seem to always encounter two degrees of separation. I wasn't in a first ring suburb, it was still pretty rural when I was there. Now it competes with the big burbs.
Spearfish Canyon SD is one of the most beautiful places in earth.
OMG the Corn Palace remains the most disappointing thing ever. I thought it was going to be LITERALLY built out of corn, like some sort of crazy architectural miracle involving cantilevered cobs. But it’s just some hack with a glue gun and kernels! BOO ON YOU, CORN PALACE.
I’m a Jezzie who has visited DeSmet.
The badlands are gorgeous!
I love South Dakota, but I’m a plains girl. You either love wide open spaces, or you don’t.
I don't see him as trying to be cool, he just comes off as an adorable dork to me. Especially when he said his favorite fan-fiction from "The X-files" was the Mulder/Krycek fan fiction because of how beautifully written a lot of it was. See, he's such a dork that he reads fan fiction and he loved stories of him and…
oh my god thank you so much.
Honestly maybe you should just give him a pass. Sometimes when I open my dishwasher I wonder why the other people in this house even bother putting stuff in there. It all has to be rearranged.
You don't have any actual fucking idea of what you're talking about, do you? Try to get out a little more.
I might kind of agree with you except you needlessly single out Lake Superior as somehow being the backwaters of anywhere, which betrays not only elitist fuckery but a preschool-level naïveté of geography.
Man, that Minnesota story was peak Minnesota.
I rather like this "fuck all y'all" version of Obama we're increasingly seeing as he approaches the end of his presidency.
tried to convince me that I am also a libertarian
Oh good. I could see ignoring Joan (Cause they've never liked her anyway), but not Harold Ramis.
This isn't really the hill I want to die on, but he honestly was in the montage last year: http://direct.themillblog.com/2014/03/the-86….
Harold Ramis died right before last year's Oscars, and he was included then.
