I think your right on the money there, sir. Blind loyalty to AMD indeed... Went out all excited for it, forgot to even look at the benchmarks until I had it all home and installed, what a stupid error...

Why did I buy an FX-8150? I'm a gamer. Why? Whyyy??? *cries in a corner, while cradling his poor bottlenecked GTX 680*

You can't save the game in pirated GFWL games since it requires you to be connected to a profile to make the save...

Gfwl eh? Sucks for the pirates, but I can't see how it effects me, since I already have my live account password saved on my computer so the only difference between this and steam works is I'll have to click a button when launching the game.

I think the problem with the combat was that rpg's of the psx era, LoD included, required a good amount of experience grinding to fully complete the game, and Alot of jrpg players like to hammer on the X button, while eating a sandwich or something while dealing with grinding segments. In LoD s case, when you got to

Thank god, someone else with a like mind to the tedium of this game! I swear they dumped 70% of the budget of this game into graphics alone.

Oh legend of dragoon; such a great rpg until you get to grinding on disc three, where even the common grindable battles require timed button presses unless you want to burn through recovery items like no tomorrow. The QuickTime battles were fun at first, yet got very tedious near the end.

Doesn't surprise me too much, as unfortunate as it is.

Little Big Planet kinda embraces this notion, in a manner of sorts.

Well, if you are going by the values of a 21st century earth society, then yes, she was raped. However I don't believe George RR Martin was intending to portray such a society; not to mention there are some true-to-history societies that have operated here on earth where such acts wouldn't have been considered "rape"

Ding ding ding!! This actually turned into a kinda funny thread; vague references ftw!!

I think you mean to say all Japanese indie games suck.

I'm running an FX-8150 with 16gb of 1600mhz ram, and a radeon hd 7970, and I chug around 19-27 frames in action with ubersampling on ultra @ 1080p.

There is an ultra setting, as well as an "Ubersampling" setting with absolutely insane supersample anti aliasing. It's astonishing with the motion blur etc, at 1080p or higher, seriously.

If only Xenoblade on the Wii could hold a candle to xenoblade on dolphin in 1080p... I would have been glad to give them my money, alas,I just can't justify it at this point. Excellent game, although if you own a high end PC I recommend hooking up a Wii remote to it and just play it emulated, its much prettier.

I'd have to respectfully disagree with you there; while there are not enough books written in the world for it to have as many storied "locales" as say, Faerun (sorry to have to use that as an example up against GoT), most of the locations described in Westeros are strikingly memorable.

Aruraljuror has a good point, if your the type that hates waiting for continuations.

I'll be buying it simply for the chance to tool around in a virtual Westeros, and see how the artists visions of the world differ from my own, having read the books. I'm expecting to see locations in the game that they didn't include in the show adaptation so should be pretty interesting.

Steam has the digital download incentive down pat I think... Consoles need to follow suit. Daily deals of 50-75% off!

The needing/getting vid is pretty epic.
