Buying a new car will rarely be the “right thing to do” from a financial perspective. However, sometimes we all reach a point at which our finances are good and it is time to treat ourselves to something nice. I don’t see anything wrong with this as long as you are smart about it.

I think the tail is incongruous with the rest in general, and I feel like the stylistic nods to the real Bugattis seem overwraught - almost like a parody.

because when the Japanese started importing cars here, they didn’t market them by saying they ran on pleasant dreams and emitted only unicorn farts. They said “these are nice cars which get good gas mileage and start every time.” Which was true.
