The Trailer is pointless because they’re showing gameplay at the Square Enix conference this week. The trailer is just a teaser.
The Trailer is pointless because they’re showing gameplay at the Square Enix conference this week. The trailer is just a teaser.
Gameplay is being revealed later this week, but the site for it says “action shooter” so it’s likely more like Armored Core.
It’s a front mission spinoff/successor. They reference Front Mission in the trailer, and it was confirmed that Nabeshima’s next game with Square was going to be a front mission “reboot”. This is it.
Shinkawa is doing character designs, the mech design is Takayuki Yanase.
It’s already on steam, and will be sold for PC and PS4.
Left Alive is a Front Mission game. The article didn’t do much research, but it’s the Front Mission “spiritual successor” that Nabeshima started work on in 2015.
I doubt it. They hired the producer from Armored Core to direct it, so it’s probably going to be a third person mech shooter, like Front Mission Evolved was.
V was good but released unfinished. A lot of the complaints were because Bandai Namco delayed the game for 2 years and refused to release patches to western markets, so it had a lot of bugs that never got fixed. That, and it was multiplayer-focused so the single player was basically a very long tutorial. Blame Dark…
It’s a “spiritual successor” to front mission, according to famitsu.
This game is set in the front mission universe, or is at least a “spiritual successor”.
They are revealing gameplay later this week.
It’s a Front Mission spin-off made by the director of Armored Core. The art is just because they hired the same artist as metal gear to do the promotionals, it has no relationship to metal gear, Kojima, or ZoE.
The director is from Armored Core, which has always had mechs being carried in on helicopters (“Ravens”). It will probably be some mix of AC gameplay and FM story.
It was being called a “Front Mission Reboot” back in 2015. My guess is they want to restart the IP with a new story from scratch, and they’re just leaving the “Front Mission” part off the title.
Nabeshima knows the value of a good trailer to sell a game, this is what he put out in 2012:
Front mission “spiritual successor”. Might be set in the same universe but not related to the story.
It’s a Front Mission spiritual successor being directed by the ex-Armored Core director after he quit From, with the Gundam 00 and GitS mech designer, and Metal Gear Solid character designer.
Armored Core V was actually announced way back in 2009 with an original release date for 2010, but Bandai Namco delayed it for 2 years to make more dark souls games. It then cropped back up later in 2011. AC4 had at least rumors and a trailer (“Project Force”) before it’s official announcement too. Even Dark Souls…
