When you see news and advertisements conflict with each other, it makes most people believe that they aren’t getting the whole story or lose faith in the news. It introduces doubt and partisanship.

You have 95% of the country fighting each other and the 5% of extremists (trump and his cabinet) riding half of that to the top.

40% of the voters (republicans) absolutely refuse to vote for someone who appears liberal. Trump made most of the other republican candidates seem like liberal moderates. They would rather have an incompetent leader that was on their ‘team’ than a competent one on the other side.

The stronger partisanship there is in the voters, the more power trump supporters have as the swing vote. His long game is to de-legitimize the outspoken democrats as radicals or extremists to keep the parties fighting and further from agreements. That’s how a trump-supporting minority stays in power when majorities

Congressional opposition of any kind (especially the mid terms) is far more effective than protests when it comes to policy changes. When it comes to limiting presidential power, congressional opposition is the way to go, self-serving or not.

At what point does it help society to spend money deporting people who have been productive citizens for 20 years?

The Focus/Fiesta ST will be more desirable than most of the cars on this list for actually standing out in its market, rather than being a special edition of a ‘me too’ car like the Quadrifoglio or Grand Sport.

Spend your hours working your ass off to build a financial safety net, instead of protesting, so you can donate to not for profits, advocacy groups, and online/offline media that doesn’t show bias. (focus on the things that can sway swing voters and reduce partisanship).

Partisanship. The less republicans and democrats refuse to agree with eachother, the more that the 5-10% extreme alt-right can dictate all the swing votes.

I’m a bit confused by your post, I’m not defending or agreeing with that side at all, just saying it’s not as one-dimensional as saying that all Trump supporters are racist or support him out of racism. The fact that many of his supporters are not affected by racism is definitely a problem that skews their perspective

Most of Trump’s supporters do not agree with the racist or xenophobic views that he is associated with. They are in favor of isolationism and america-first social systems, and the racism and fascism is a non-issue for them.

Or do they? Tariffs should encourage customers to by home built. If they do so there is nothing passed onto them. People who chose do buy foreign anyway maybe can afford it anyway (though I’m not advocating protectionism at all. I think it hurts more people than it helps people).

This is actually the major schizm between Reagan-Republicans and Trump-Republicans and is one of the sources behind Trump’s low approval ratings. Many traditional republicans do not support the idea of economic isolationism.

The only way that manufacturing jobs will ‘come back’ to the US, is when the US standard of living is low enough that the average person can survive on $4 an hour, and that number is dropping fast as new technology comes out.
