And that was post Chicanes. Nothing will run as fast on that track as the 1989/1988 Group C season ever again. According to wiki, the qualifying lap for the C9 was 3:15, and it wasn’t until 2010 that anyone dipped below 3:20 again.

From what I’ve read, the sweet spot for those cars is actually about 250, with the dead spots in the powerband (from the factory) removed.
I prefer SF-R because that seems to imply some sort of Race / Sport model.
I’ve grown up around 3rd, 4th, and 5th Gen Maximas, and they really were some of the best FWD cars of the 90s. The fifth gen especially is scary quick for a luxurious FWD car.
