I'm not sure you read my post.
I'm not sure you read my post.
I'm not telling you to feel guilty at all, just asking that you recognize the very real reality that there's a lot of people who think badly of M-drivers because of peer pressure and media, even if they don't say it to their face.
It's a matter of tolerances (which are very tight on the say, NSX and GT-R V6 but maybe not so much on the Cadillac V6), mass (GT-R and the Cadillac V6 are heavy, NSX V6 is much lighter) airflow mapping charcteristics (the NSX is going to have a very linear powerband with high flow at the 7000rpm+ range, the GT-R and…
Truth. People really, really underestimate how important rear spoilers are on some sports sedans. I grew up around 90s and early 2000s Nissan Maximas, and if you removed the rear spoiler from one, above 130mph (Yes, an early 2000s Nissan Maxima will go 145+, 255HP and 3200lbs, 6-speed manual.... total sleeper car)…
Unfortunately, I doubt VW could fit a 455HP engine in the Golf R (and still be streetable/reliable) if they tried.
I'd be willing to guess that an SRT8 cop car is going to be just as fast on the highway (60-120mph) than the ATS-V, or at least close enough. The SRT8 Cop car only comes with a 392HP engine, but the civilian models are over 470HP. With a few seconds head start for the Charger Pursuit, I doubt an ATS-V could outrun it…
"With Rear Windows inspired by the Camaro!"
Cadillac's language is the same, but the shape and PROPORTIONS are different, which is where they vary from Audi, which uses the same basic shape (but in 3 different sizes) for all their sedans. That's the key, I think.
But he's right. BMWs are great cars, but they come with a perception tax, people will assume you're ignorant and selfish if you own one. Not out of jealousy, but because we've had years now of bad examples of humanity doing stupid, stupid things with BMWs.
Yes.
I have no problem with a V6, it's that it's a cadillac manufactured V6 that worries me. I know a Nissan V6 is going to accept oodles of boost and with some adjustments, make double the stock output, and a Honda V6 is going to be crazy lightweight. But a Cadillac V6 just screams "Nothing special here, just another…
"Car and Driver said that the ride was too harsh for a 4-star review, but they loved its fuel efficiency."
To answer the question you must first invent the language!
A day? Probably only two hours.
You don't need those coolers if you're drag racing it, same with the Brakes. They know that as track-oriented as this is, a good 60-70% of them won't be under full load for anything longer than 1 mile.
I believe that almost 90% of 1965-1971 Mustang parts can still be bought new from Ford or an affiliate company. You can get a frame and body panels fresh and untouched, though they're not cheap.
I'd say its a better technical exercise, but makes more compromises.
Ford likely did all the exhaust tubing and butterfly valves they could to give it back its "murican burble" into the exhaust.
