I’ve seen this trick a million times working in retail. People would buy a game/movie open it up, replace the movie/game, use a shrink wrap machine and reshrinkwrap it and attempt to return it. The wrapping is different than the retail wrapping but the service/return desk usually doesn’t know a difference.
