Oh, you better believe I’m gonna be primarying Biden’s ass come 2024, he was pretty much my last pick this year’s primary and I’d give almost anything to have Bernie or even Elizabeth Warren as the candidate instead. More than that, I’m gonna be pushing Biden every day of every year he’s in office to be as progressive

Yeah I recognize we’re not in complete opposition here, it’s why I’ve been speaking towards we as a group rather than arguing at you directly. I’m certainly aware that some of what I say has been used in bad faith by moderates, but context is everything, we can’t just dismiss sound reasoning just because it’s got a

And that’s what your 2nd para concentrates on; this idea that Leftists are focused on the inconsequential nitty-gritty, to the detriment of the bigger picture.

Feel free to elaborate.

Look...Ian...I mean this in the nicest way possible, and I say this as a fellow progressive who has tried to get people to vote for Bernie twice in a row, and this isn’t directed at you specifically but at the group you are currently representing with this article...but please, shut the fuck up.

This is a fair question to ask, and let me take it one step further to remind everyone that video games in particular have a hurdle for being all inclusive: dev time. Every toggle we ask them to put in, every setting we ask them to include, takes time and resources to code and implement and bugtest that not every

Eris Rail is definitely really good, especially if you find the hammer buffs that lets you fire multiple at a time and just carpet-bomb rooms. I’m also a big fan of Chiron Bow with the +4 Special shots, add a bunch of Zeus boons and you obliterate multiple targets with every burst.

The only frustrating thing about unlocking the hidden Aspects- and all the sidequests in general, actually- is that sometimes you’ll go 3 or 4 runs and the character you need to talk to will always be unavailable, and then another 5 or 6 runs before they cycle through enough of their possible dialogs to finally talk

There’s two things to keep in mind here:

Jovovich’s husband Paul W.S. Anderson, who directed the Resident Evil movies, is helming the project.

While I don’t technically disagree, playing as imaginary Nazis has lost a lot of its charm when we have actual Nazis running around trying to kill people.

The lack of a vs AI mode was a huge turn-off for me with Battlefront 2, so I’m glad to see they’re learning some lessons.

They did what the best roguelikes do: make things random to keep runs feeling fresh while keeping the randomness within certain parameters in order to keep a consistently quality experience. It goes far beyond the level design:

For a similar reason that people write fanfiction or play Dungeons and Dragons: existing characters and settings serve as fertile inspiration for creativity, and if you’re so inclined, you can eventually translate that creativity into wholly original works.

I like how even Sakurai doesn’t seem particularly thrilled, given the long explanation he gave of how upper management in Nintendo was pushing for this and his extreme hesitance to agree to it.

I generally don’t consider Jury Summons to be very difficult, since there are so, so many options for area-of-effect damage available through boons/hammers that blowing up 60% extra dudes all at once usually isn’t noticeable. Damage Control is similarly easy to ignore if you’re running a weapon or cast capable of

That’s primarily because beating it once is not considered “post-game” for roguelikes, more like everything before your first victory in Hades is Act 1 and subsequent runs is Act 2. That said, you only need to do 10 completions at any difficulty level to get the credits roll and have officially beaten the game, and if

Hades is absolutely a roguelike, and what really sets it apart is what it adds to that formula without sacrificing what was already good about the genre.

This is the first of their games I’ve played, as I heard the previous ones were all good but very niche. Hades feels like a significant step up for Supergiant, insanely high quality while also having a broader appeal.

There’s definitely plenty to like on a narrative level, 60 runs in and I’m still working on completing sidequests for all the characters, there’s so much to discover. The game even includes a “god mode” you can turn on or off if you just want to focus on story and not have to worry about perfect performance. Easily
