EA has been enjoying keeping players on the $60 a year subscription pretty much unopposed for years now, and there is not much reason for them to change that model unless they had a way to make even more money from it. If they weren't in an exclusive agreement with the NFL, then maybe something might change, but for

From my understanding you can still digitally purchase games on both systems, which ties them to your account, the same way Steam work.

I struggle to see why EA can't implement this system anyway. Both consoles are having a heavy digital focus. They could, for example, convert Madded to a model like this... But it would cut out any customers lacking an Internet connection; the exact problem the Xbox One would have had anyway.

Yes, Owen's logic is that since the DRM is gone, there will no longer be different price models. Which is a ridiculous statement.

EA isn't complaining about getting $60 a year for a product that isn't much different than the previous year. If they went to a completely digital model, I have my doubts that anything would change at all.

Here's a challenge for all you junior phrenologists out there.

I am sure this picture is somehow insulting to female, trans, and hairstylist gamers as well.

Let me say that I sincerely offend those whom I have deeply apologized ....

In response to this I have closed down my ministry that has tried to convert people from their credit card eating ways. I beg for your forgiveness.

Really Kotaku? I mean come on. You could at least try to be sensitive to those of us who have schizophrenic family members who try to eat credit cards. This is insensitive bullcrap.

I'm offended by the new picture. My mother is a schizophrenic who routinely tries to eat credit cards, and I feel like this is insensitive to her.

Tell me there's support for Oculus Rift?

Hell, I'd buy one of those ships in real life if I had the money.

Exactly. 9 people getting to play a game for free doesn't make sense at all business wise. Publishers would be going out of business lol.

Lets tax religion while we're at it okay =)

I felt the ending was brilliant. I was so invested in this story I actually felt the NEED to save her. I sprinted through smoke bombs and guards and rushed into the operating room and killed all 3 doctors without even realizing it. Not everyone shares the same moral compass but I was really glad Joel went to save

I see that's what the edit on the report says.

Can't happen, we haven't gotten Unkarted yet.
