This was fantastic. Thanks!

Except that’s exactly what is reported to have happened? Not that he became a diva, but that he used his pull to get them fired because he was unhappy. And to say he just takes notes and doesn’t add more to the process... oy.

Lawrence Kasdan has been reported as the one who got them fired. He’s been involved with the series for decades and is dear old friends with Kathleen Kennedy. In this rare case, the screenwriter (a Hollywood legend) had more pull.

By completely ignoring and denying the other side’s narrative, you remind me a lot of the current Israeli leadership.

As someone who is not an IPA fan at all due to the hoppy taste, a breakthrough that allows more hoppiness isn’t great news. Really hoping the trend passes sometime soon...

That’s not a biased way of presenting things at all.

But these two have more chemistry than Steve and Sharon. Break some barriers, Marvel!

You think the Russians went to all that trouble to have absolutely no impact? Not even one person decided to stay home or vote for a candidate based on their work? Negative advertising works. That’s why it’s the favored choice in campaign ads.

A superhero movie for little kids sounds great to me. Bummer that Patrick Warburton aged out of the role before they finally got it going, but still looking forward to taking my nephew.

So now things can be problematic and the Internet can take umbrage before we even know what they really are. The trailer shows that part of what he is doing is indeed creepy, and that just having sex with her isn’t the goal (as he has sex but is upset with himself for being a full asshole). All which would seem to

Very cool. It would be amazing if someone huge in the USA like Amazon followed suit, and not just with non-gendered clothes either. When looking for toys for friends’ kids, Amazon offers you searches for boys toys and girls toys. That feels really outdated.

Discrete means individually separate and distinct. (Example... Small, discrete problems are easier to understand than ‘slow-burn,’ incremental ones.)

Ah. I didn’t see it that way, but I had trouble following some of the fight scenes this week (less so previous battles.)

Yeah, if he’d seen a path to the Night King (whose death we’ve now learned might destroy the entire army) and was going to go for it, then he’d have had a reason to not get on the dragon, but the way it played it made his already bad plan (send some of the most valuable warriors in the land to capture a wright, don’t

If a French novel (say Les Miserable or The Three Musketeers) is adapted in the USA, should they use French-American actors? I don’t really see why they would. And those stories even take place in France.

Also, maybe some podcast reviews?

Interviews with classic creators of scifi/geek stuff? You can do them before the weekend so you still don’t have to work on Saturday. Just hit post (or whatever the button is.)

I do adore E. Nigma. Had the name Joe Kerr also come from the golden or silver age, I’d go with it for sure.

Nice. That would be in the same (lame) vein as Blackbolt’s real name being Blackagar Boltagon.
