Yes, I remember the one about Oates- it's called "May Be Some Time", and can be read here [www.greenfield.narod.ru]

It's unfortunate because the books didn't really have those issues. Andrea was a much stronger character, Jacqui (the one who stays at the CDC) didn't exist... and then there was Michonne.
I heart you for this.
I knew of the Barsoom books, because I did actually read Tarzan and my dad told me about how much he loved Burroughs as a kid, but I never ended up reading them. I'm 25 and American; if it wasn't for the movie, probably nobody much younger than me would have ever heard of them.
Sorry, but nobody born after the year 2000 will remember Homestar Runner, or Flash animations at all. Possibly not even those born after 1995. My younger brother born in 1991 is barely aware of Homestar.
No, apparently an original color print was discovered.
Sphere takes a little bit to get going, it's full of infodumps at the beginning, but it gets very tense soon enough.
With my 22" monitor, the magic spot was about 2.5-3 feet away.
Same here, I was looking for WPS in my dd-wrt configuration until I read that part.
It's astounding, because there's a ton of written scifi that does.
I don't even know what goes on in my own head.
It's been taken down now.
This is exactly how I felt after watching Virtuality, the *other* brilliant, original RDM pilot that didn't make it to series. How does Brannon Braga keep getting work when RDM can't? At this point I feel like he needs to do what Joss Whedon did, give up on TV and try to make a go of it in the film world.
The music reuse was probably because it's a rough-cut pilot, they were probably just using tracks NBC already had the license for rather than spend the time and money licensing and/or creating music for something that would likely only be seen by network execs.
You could just use something like Readability or Instapaper.
Actually if you're looking for a book series on that theme check out Robert J. Sawyer's Quintaglio Ascension trilogy, which takes place in a dinosaur civilization's version of the Renaissance.
So does this already have funding, or is this something institutions are hoping Euro governments will somehow cough up money for? Seems like this would have to cost even more than the LHC.
Really? Nobody I know with a Mac actually likes Finder. I don't think any of them even like it more than Explorer. The file browser Microsoft should really learn from is KDE's Konqueror, IMO.
This latest one's from pod2g of Chronic Dev Team, a well-known, legitimate jailbreak developer.
If they're mentioning it the character who dies will probably be bigger than Mago (was that the name?) or Marillion.
