Sometimes, something stands out for the wrong reason. Like that piece of TP you drag around not knowing it’s hanging off you. Or that big spot on the back of your pants you never knew was there... This is that spot. It’s ugly in all the wrong ways. A bunch of tacked on chrome and a landau top is not something the

“beige vinyl roof” is right in the first sentence. Hope I die before I get old. ND

I don’t think I’ve ever disliked a car featured on NPOCP more than this one. And I’ve been here for years.

Technically, I’m in that generation, but I have zero desire to be labeled as such and driving this pimped-up Buick (still an old-person’s car . . .) would not be something I’d want to do at any price.

I could overlook all the tacky/ugly shit if the price was cut in half. I can understand an ugly bargain. But this? That’s too much dough to look like that.

Some Mini’s are much slower than you’d expect.

The Camry TRD:

A few come to mind:

Caliber SRT4.

Avalon TRD

What about the Grand Caravan R/T? IIRC, literally almost no performance upgrades, mostly some unique molding & color choices; the only real changes are some springs I think.

Mustang King Cobra II. All show, no go with the same smog-choked 130HP 302 V8 that a plain-jane Mustang II could be optioned with.

Sometimes you also got a red stripe - as a sticker

Honda’s HPD is a pretty sad attempt.
98% of Toyotas that say TRD are lame as hell
And let us not forget ze Germans, slapping their performance brands on trim packages for base models. Those make me chuckle.

Say what you want about FCA/Stellantis, but when they apply the SRT badge, it means something serious is going on

Dodge is terrible about slapping the R/T and other performance tags on everything, so my vote is either the early 2000s Durango R/T or the current Grand Caravan GT

NISMO has turned into a name that’s just rebranded intakes/catback and body kits. Sad to see.

Can’t drive all the way to Prudhoe proper; you’ve gotta take a shuttle or have work access if you want to put a toe in the Arctic Ocean there.

Also bed tents for those of us with pickups

Youre certainly correct but i am thinking about getting a rooftop tent as i am tired of sleeping on the ground and setting up a tent. I have a small trailer now that i use when its workable but im not towing that thing down a narrow 4x4 shelf road so i still pitch a tent regularly. Im sort of tired of it.
