What you have to understand about Conservatism is at its core, it is about preserving an in-group protected by the law but not bound by it, and an out-group bound by the law but not protected by it.

If you watch that stuff and aren’t upset that Aunt Becky is making a return, literally nothing bad will happen to me or anyone else if Aunt Becky starts make a bazillion dollars again. Meh is about all I can muster.

My niece and nephew (6 and 8) were playing around in my ‘97 Ranger, enjoying the novelty of the fold-down rumble seats in the extended cab, and were just completely flummoxed by the manual windows. Just amazed.  Then the niece’s eyes lit up as she connected the dots and said, “Oh, so that’s why they call it rolling

Listen here, kid. I’m gonna need you to grab that feeler gauge over there and set the points gap while I drain the rear diff.

You are on a roll. Keep going.

Comment of the year. I could picture the kiddo in my mind.

Lexus LX’s are special.  Fight me.

Tracy is going to grow up to be some wide-eyed kid’s weird uncle. I mean, the kid is going to go to school, and he is going to have stories.

Pentagenarian

Stop trying bring (questionably) rational thought into this!  The argument falls apart when the replacement is a pentagenarian Mopar.  Now support your argument with a nerdy physics formula or be gone!

I know some folks were wondering if WotC would announce 6th edition, or some sort of ‘Advanced 5th Edition.’ I personally think the current rules of D&D work well enough, and they’ve helped with the success of streaming games that have raised D&D’s profile and popularity, since they’re mechanically light enough

Probably the same way so many people get talked into financing thousands extra for service contracts.

Gasp, a ripoff Hyundai dealer in SoCal, I am shocked. Hell, I expected “theft patrol” to mean the buyer was personally paying for the dealership’s security guard for a week.

This is kookie dooks for sure, though its hard to fault Hyundai. The market is kookie dooks too. Im of the opinion that there wont be a 2nd gen Santa Cruz period, so at least the forums will have something to blame it on instead of it being a weird niche product.

See the entirety of vermont for this problem. We have an entire system of offroad roads called class 4 roads. They are piblic right of ways but many of them are also used by landowers and maintained by landowners. They already saw a huge influx of people because of covid. And on top of that ford tried to set up a

Which isn’t surprising during the pandemic. Once we are back to more normality it should tapper off. With more work from home options popping up though we should expect outdoor activities to at least sustain these levels for a few years more.

Judging by all the dents and creases, it just looks like it was restyled as Toyota.

Fun story. I’m an elected official in an unnamed southern state. We have an extremely popular hiking trail that became overrun with new hikers last year requiring we made some local decisions about how to handle the “problem” of a large influx of people in a very rural area. Problem was two-fold:

Its an actual road and its pretty easy coming from the eastern side of the pass up to the switchbacks coming down to Telluride. The only way to do the full road is east to west because where this woman crashed its one way and she was going against traffic.

Dog update: 1 year-old golden doodle “Chewy” treated for minor injuries, doing well.
