@Zundfolge: You know it's funny, the internet and TV have a few things in common. One of them is that if you don't like what's on you can *change the channel*. If you don't want to participate in political threads then don't. Whining about it is only wasting more of the time you're whining about losing.
Different strategies do indeed work for different people. If you act like a jerk and everyone thinks you're an asshole then focusing on your strengths is likely to make your problem worse instead of better.
@Tills13: Remembered to kill the market task before launching google talk? the only time i've seen that fail I didn't actually have an internet connection. It looked like a had a wifi connection, but the wifi router was in a bad state so no data was actually flowing.
@Tills13: crazy isn't it?
@Mutsumi Mitsuba: Everyone does different things with their eyes when they think, whether lying or not. Where they look is dependent on the culture they were raised in, whether they are left or right-brain dominant, whether they're well-rested and a myriad of other variables. There's never been a correctly run…
Easier thing to try first which *always* fixes this problem for me:
@Mutsumi Mitsuba: It's complete nonsense. ignore your teacher.
my requisite protest comment: Psychology Today is sci-pop crap. "Tips" like these are more likely to create dysfunctional interactions than anything else. Stop cross-posting this poop. You can't hack people.
Gah. That hotmail active views looks all kinds of wrong. email was built for text. it's bad enough that marketeers want emails to be web pages. now they want email to be a web browser too?
"Everyone's trying to avoid Flash these days" Patently false. Try less hyperbolic phrases like "many people" or "a lot of people" instead of "Everyone."
More comepletely useless BS from Poppsych Today. I repeat: Psychology Today's nonsense doesn't belong on lifehacker. You can't hack people. Trying to apply this nonsense in the real world will get you nothing but trouble.
Oh I'm gonna love this when my Cr-48 arrives!
As someone with severe sleep apnea I get envious reading such tips that actually work for people who breathe all night without interruption.
Looks neat, heart is in the right place, but without widespread adoption it won't be able to compete. Ubiquity is the ONLY reason I use Facebook.
uh, good job at trying to warn people about a new worm, but goo.gl as the only identifying factor isn't all that useful. There are other URL shortening services that can be and are used for the same nefarious purposes.
No kindle support? Waaaahhh.
Tip: Don't get your personal behavior tips from Psychology today. It's pop psych crap which is as likely to steer you into dysfunctional situations as not.
@TheLouis: Long time reader, post infrequently.
