This.

Well, yes, at least in the US. This is a UK case, so I'm not sure how the legal system there works, but here the criterion for prosecution is guilty beyond a reasonably doubt. Subsequently, in cases such as this—and many rape cases in general—getting a guilty verdict can be very difficult.

I hear you on portraying the nuances of what would "really" happen, but you don't often have that luxury in a film unless that is *all* your movie focuses on. With CE, first contact was at the very end, with the entire film as a buildup.

Amen to the fighting. I've lost interest in many films once the action stops conveying story.

*sigh* why?

To be fair: each iteration was better from a technical and gameplay standpoint. For that reason, I think it's perfectly fair to like them. But I felt that the things I actually liked most about the ME1—actual RPG elements, innovative story, the implication of wide consequences to your actions, open-world exploration,

I kind of understand the Ash/Kaiden zero-character-development. They played interchangeable roles, as to save on dev time and money. I mean, they *could* have had the survivor's reaction change depending on who died in ME1, which would result in two slightly different stories based on the personality and motives they

Well, they do bundle up there.

You know, as much as I didn't like ME2 and 3, I'm amazed by how emotionally invested the games got me to the characters, the ship, and some of the locations. Brilliant were on those fronts.

IIRC, it was only Lursa and B'etor who had the cleavage.

Very nice. Reminds me of a hilarious Mufasa/Darth Vader mashup I saw a while ago . . .

Well, many of the successful books ARE written this way. As for specifics, The Name of the Wind by Rothfuss comes to mind, but against most books which have sold will be coherent.

Cybernetics. We currently use artificial limbs, ocular and cochlear implants, and other mechanical devices to mitigate physical handicaps. That technology will improve, become cheaper, and eventually become ubiquitous. People will be able to purchase physical "augmentations" such as improved vision and hearing,

Well, you could even buy UFO Defense or some of the other old titles. They're all on Steam.

Oh, go jump in a time vortex. It'll do you good.

Few things?

4) you've numbed yourself to the pain enough to enjoy the next hip :p

Hmm. . . it sounds like you don't have any personal experience with traditional Asian culture.

One of my favorite memories is camping up around the smaller peaks surround Mt. Rainier one summer. It was warm and dry enough one of the nights that I didn't use a tent, just threw a tarp on the ground and suspended another one above me. Woke up past midnight . . . I have *never* seen stars like that since then.

I am SO glad that this title is getting new material again. I waited 15 years for a new title, and getting another one this soon afterward is just a delight.
