"The last n**r on earth, starring Tom Hanks." Oh, that's priceless.

Chrome. UGH. it's a great browser but it just doesn't meet my needs.
I use it on my phone (iPhone) and love it. It took a few days to figure out the gestures. There was a definite learning curve but once I figured it out I really like that it doesn't bother me for emails I don't need to see (e.g. things i signed up for and don't ever read). I know there's a desktop app for it, but I'd…
Elliphant:
Some of my apps just complete functions, though, like Weblock. I never actually need to access it once it's set up. Having an icon on the home screen is annoying, even if I can relegate it to a page I never swipe to. Why do I have to have it at all? There should be a way to set it as a utility that doesn't take up…
That's the thing... I maybe watched an episode of Scandal? In between episodes of Star Trek TOS and Hansel and Gretel. One would think that watching a show that has black people in it would be less important than the genre of said show.
I still remember the day when Netflix realized I'm black. It went from suggesting Star Trek and Avengers to pushing Soul Plane and Boyz in the Hood. Not even sure what I clicked on, but it took months of watching Leverage and Lost Girl to get decent recommendations back.
The thousand yard death stare made me think she was dead. But as mentioned above, it would be crazy to hire Lucy Lawless and then kill her off permanently in 40 minutes. I have my fingers crossed that she's alive and that she becomes an uber-powerful cyborg ally.
The only one who seems relatively sane and well-adjusted is Triplet, who actually seems to be enjoying all the A-Team stuff they're pulling on their mission to infiltrate Talbot's base. Triplet is also by far my favorite character on this show, and if anything happens to him I'm going to burn down Jeff Bell's…
I would love to be a followed commenter! I have a good commenting history on the site and I ignore trolls. And I'm a huge geek!
Just finished the Parasol Protectorate. Thoroughly enjoyed it, and am now looking for something similar without delving into romance or YA. Suggestions?
Pretty much everything about Man of Steel. I think Rob Bricken summed it up nicely last year.
I made a few friends who had the new Gloom expansion! It was pretty awesome.
As a tech person, I use iPhone. To me, IOS is far preferable to Android. I want things to work seamlessly, without me having to customize or tweak; for my needs, iPhone is already optimized. The only thing I would change would be being able to set default apps, like Google Maps instead of Maps.
I too am surprised that her torso isn't somehow twisted so that we also get side boob. Quite possibly an oversight on Manara's part.
That's why it's called institutionalized racism. It's not prejudice or bias, one person against another. It's an entire system or structure designed to privilege one group and to harm another. That's why the doll studies show that black children find white dolls more attractive than black dolls: black people are…
The issue is bigger than just child support:
Like jpederson said: context is crucial. Men can't get pregnant. Regardless of what type of birth control is being cut, it's *birth control* and men can't give birth. Women get pregnant and as a result of those pregnancies have fewer options for, you know, the rest of their lives.
29 is not a girl. 29 is a grown-ass woman.
From what I understand, the woman didn't escape under her own steam - her family came in and removed her. It's one thing to already be ill and to willfully spread that illness. It's another thing to be (supposedly) healthy and then jailbreak someone under quarantine and willfully spread that illness to yourself, other…
