This comment is begging for an excellent gif.

Somebody should make an Octodad control scheme mod for Dark Souls.

This is actually a good move for them. Companion apps for Wii Fit titles are what I'd expect to begin with. Later on, we might get legacy titles in the same vein as Sega.

Fair enough, I should probably be more specific: new IPs that actually interest me! :P I like games that take themselves *mostly* seriously, experiment with new ideas, tell compelling and atmospheric stories etc. I find that Nintendo sticks firmly to its established cartoony IPs like Mario and Donkey Kong, and when

It's not though, because Nintendo are scared of making new IPs. I want new IPs! Not 'New' Super Mario Brothers 36! They're starting to sound like porn titles.

There's a site called Wallbase.cc - that's where I get all mine. They're all really geeky, but in a good way. Imagine if the Internet itself decided to collect the coolest wallpapers it could find. That's what this site is like.

Does Lara walk properly in the Definitive Edition?

I found the movement incredibly sticky when I played it on PS3. She would always stop when I moved the left stick in the forward-left diagonal direction. I had to go through the game by holding it forward and using the camera to turn! All the while everybody was

I use a very long string of letters and numbers, memorable as each of them have a particular meaning and relation to me, with some random capitalisation thrown in to mix things up. I often tell people my password out loud and they can never repeat it past the first few characters.

'[...]designed to both fix issues and "ensure compatibility with the online players and all of the upcoming add-on content that's coming out shortly as well,"'

I wonder if it actually includes the upcoming DLC and they're just going to be released as smaller 'unlocking' files?

I don't understand why a big nose is one of the features...are Japanese people known for particularly small noses? Now that I think about it, I can't actually picture a big-nosed Japanese person! XD

I suppose it must seem strange to them, actually. Hmm, interesting!

These videos are really good at putting the specs in perspective! Man, the PS4 really isn't being put to use yet, is it? Killzone's graphics are frame rate are the most next-gen thing I've seen it run so far, but they're probably going to look laughable in 5 years time!

I agree. I don't understand the need for all the secrecy. They probably feel it damages the hype, but the hype doesn't really begin until we actually start seeing stuff and learning about features. Just confirming a game results in nothing but speculation, which is always a good thing. Gets people talking. Great fan

'Learnt' and 'learned' are actually both grammatically correct.

IO were working on this and Square Enix were working on another Hitman game, presumably to annualize the series. Square Enix's game got cancelled, this is the game IO were making.

If we're going to talk theory, 'art' is actually what the artist envisions, before it's expressed. The artwork is how he chooses to convey that idea, and yes, you're absolutely right, it might be transmitted ineffectively and will therefore not be understood by the observer as the artist intended.

In this case,

As a defense mechanism against criticism? I feel like you're missing his point. By making the existence of this game public, he's trying to make us reflect on the idea of uniqueness - of a game that can't be copied. There's only one, and as a result it's precious and rare and has value. It's a statement about mass

To express an idea. That's all there is to it, even if that idea is known only to a few people. It's not like he's saying 'nobody can play this!'. That wasn't his intention, and that's not what he's trying to express.

He's expressing the idea of uniqueness, something that has value because it can't be copied. There's

Other way around, really. He decided to make a statement, so he made a game that couldn't be copied. That's all there is to it. I don't know why the barest mention of the word 'art' makes so many gamers foam at the mouth. It really bothers me how many people fail to appreciate that these guys aren't con-artists,

The negativity expressed in this comments section show that most gamers don't actually appreciate the artistic elements of the medium, and they only play games for limited reasons. Kind of like these people that think movies are simply stories, and nothing more. That really bothers me. Games are an artistic medium.
