I think this is just a case of looking too much into things. I think the image is unsettling because it doesn't look human, or it looks like a disfigured human. Not because I failed to recognize another sentient being. It's a threatening feeling - I feel like I recognize it, and it recognizes me, but whatever "it" is

Lol, well I wasn't just referring to recent politics - I mean, if you look at the last few decades of literature & popular media, the whole "postmodernism" movement that concerns rebellion has become somewhat of a cliche now, and things are starting to move in difference directions in an effort to keep things fresh.

Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo...!

Stories about rebellion and totalitarianism are starting to lose their impact now...seeing as the spirit of our time seems to be rebelling, changing things, subverting etc. and getting away with it.

Having just done the quest that I can only describe as "The Elder Scrolls Meets The Hangover", I remain unchanged in my opinion! :P

This is what Skyrim would've looked like if Alduin had his way...

If Skyrim's "side missions" are anything like Oblivions, then yes, I WILL keep playing - because they're of the same quality as the main story. It's actually sort of misleading to term as secondary, because they're not, not by a long shot. It's just that they're not part of the actual main storyline basis, but as far

In my opinion, this desire to keep children either out of games, or immortal therein, is misguided to begin with. The children in Skyrim, for example, aren't enemies - they're villagers. Just regular NPCs - and if you were to kill them, you would be chased down for murder and therefore punished for your actions. In

Why isn't this more famous? :S

I'm amazed you got through that review - in which you brought down the final third of the story - without making a reference to the game's subtitle!

Lol, forget Kotaku - I'm amazed you're a human being and you haven't heard of Minecraft! XD

I've just got into graphic novels recently, I've read Sandman collections 1-6 (waiting for the rest of the new printings to come out!) and I recommend them. The first one essentially sets up the main premise of the main character and his world (and there are some really good stories told in doing so) and then the

Some of the most overrated games in recent memory, anyway. I loved GTA IV, but it WAS overrated. It was still a great and amazing game though. Skyrim, on the other hand...I haven't played it yet, but if it's anything like Oblivion, then it's overrated and it's mediocre. That's my opinion anyway.

I wouldn't say I don't care about Skyrim, but I do think Bethesda get far more credit as a developer than they deserve. Their games are very, very unpolished. And even with the likes of Oblivion and Fallout, I think these games are very much overrated - 7/10 games at the most. And it's not like Dead Island where the

This is why the world must end.

Actually - yes, that IS why I love COD! Framerate and overall polish is really important to me in a game, it completely governs how the game feels to play, and COD does it to perfection. That's the reason I never crossed over into Battlefield or anything. A smooth framerate can make a game much, much better to play.

I actually agree with Miller's take on the OWS movement. Sure, he's become somewhat of a controversial figure recently, but if you stay on topic and ignore all his Islamophobic rantings and just focus on what he says about OWS, then yeah, I agree with him. It's not a real movement. Perhaps it would be if the majority

Call of Duty is amazing because the production values are very high - technically, it's very near to flawless in its execution. It's smooth, it's dynamic, it's inventive. I'm talking exclusively about the campaign - I'm not really a fan of online gaming. The only real flaw I see with this most recent title is the

I think I'm the only one not excited for this game. For one reason alone. The enemies still don't react to attacks! And don't give me the kill animations for a comeback - a sword slash should make an enemy reel, otherwise you don't feel like you're slashing them with a sword. You just feel like you're pressing a

You see, I think multiplayer gaming is way, way, WAY overrated. I'm really only buying MW3 for the campaign - that's the reason I got into the game in the first place. Sure, I'll play the multiplayer and enjoy it, but that's not my reason for getting the game - it's more like an additional extra to me. And THAT,
