Of why you won’t listen to anyone who isn’t currently employed as an engineer in this specific field. Every comment you’ve made seems to be implying that he’s ill-qualified to say the things he’s saying, and therefore wrong about them.
OK, so prove out your theory, where was he wrong?
I appreciate it because I don’t want to watch the video at work, and want to get the rundown on it. Jalopnik provides that service, but it’s a bad thing for some reason?
The issue isn’t that it’s a prototype vehicle, it’s that it doesn’t seem to have any legally required safety equipment at all.
I never understand these posts. One comes out every time something new is announced. It’s the biggest news in the industry right now, there is a lot of buzz around it, and new information keeps coming out that people want to read.
Should they instead just make the one post and then cease all mention of it?
This is the same logic people use during riots against the government when they go around and smash and burn innocent civilian’s cars and destroy and loot small businesses. “Hah, that’ll show those fat cats on Wall Street and Capital Hill...”
Damn it you’re convincing me... I might be picking one of these up soon. Looks like they’re hovering around $10k
I’ve been looking at these more and more lately as a daily. Any regrets over a 135i with the NA motor? I don’t consider myself much of a power fiend, but a factory turbo is so easily tunable.
Why the hell do people insist on quoting the maximum a car can cost as its price — and then at the same time the base price of a car they’re comparing it to. That’s like pointing at a rental spec Focus and asking why wouldn’t they get an M240i for that $45k. Just because a Focus can cost that much doesn’t mean they…
OK, the whole “sunshine state” thing is a lie and you all know it! It has rained every single day I have ever spent there.
Yeah but then you have to live in Arizona or Nevada... Been there.
This. Man, these pictures remind me that living in California does have its perks as a car guy sometimes.
If you just would have read one sentence further... “Well, we did before we were our own country...”
Kinda crazy that the Nav gets 18 mpg combined, though. That’s what get if I’m not careful in my 20 year old Audi wagon.
No, we just outsourced it to the Germans and Brits when it came to anything with 4-wheels for a while.
I don’t know if you missed it or not but Ford bringing the GT back for the 50th anniversary of that win wasn’t for nothing. They won the 24hrs of Le Mans...
Not in the US at least
Former Z32 owner here, it truly is a wonderful place to sit
Don’t punish the poor SOB manning the equipment, take your complaint further up. They were just hired to do a job, and a government contract is a great way for these guys to put food on the table. If it wasn’t that particular guy, it would be another.
