Man, didn’t realize the Camaro was that light. Interesting. Base Ecoboost Mustang weighs 3,532, so 180lbs heavier. I’ll trade what amounts to having a passenger in the car for an additional 35hp and 55tq in the Mustang.

It’s not 1999 anymore. Cars are heavy.
Well at least this replaces the strut assembly. I’ve heard nothing but good things from people running Fox’s version of this set.
Also just the regular Fox branded set is about $1,000
The same kit (without Ford’s tuning) is about $1,000 from Fox, so the markup here seems about right to have it be a factory warranty covered, Ford-sanctioned option.
Personally I would just get the aftermarket kit, though.
Where do you see that in the press release? I see it says it has locking preload rings, which are exactly what the aftermarket 2.0 kits come with, and the rings look identical as well. Locking meaning you can lock them into place after adjusting the height (they use the exact same wording in the specs for…
It is not standard suspension with a puck lift installed. It’s a height and preload adjustable coilover set. That means overbuilt, offroad tuned shocks and springs for people who want to improve the ride and handling offroad and have longevity while doing it. You know, the point of any coilover set.
I think that would tank Raptor sales, honestly. So many just want the look already
No. This is a set of very high quality coilovers from Fox, not just a ~$200 puck lift. The equivalent set (without Ford’s tuning and bushings) is around $1,000 anyway: https://www.autoanything.com/suspension-systems/fox-2-performance-series-coil-over-ifp-shocks
It’s pointing out the obvious in a sarcastic way, not meant to be literally and sincerely informative. People come here to be entertained.
If you’re going to claim “fastest 4-door production car time” then why would a limited edition not be valid? While 300 is a relatively low number, that’s hardly a one off.
One thing you can rest easy knowing with these is the 4.0 is of AMC origin, and is one of the few things that Chrysler actually improved in 1991, and then the engine remained more or less gloriously unchanged from then until 2006.
Absolutely terrible news. All the best to her friends and family. We've lost one of the good ones today for sure.
That’s $1,000 before the Jeep leaves the showroom floor, not in all aftermarket accessories.
One of the laws I actually agree with in CA is using off road lights on the road is illegal. I’m reminded of how much I like that law when I drive through AZ regularly and am completely blinded by assholes driving around with their light bars blasting
Not to defend the Gladiator too much, but I know a guy who is a serious contractor who uses the shit out of his Ridgeline and loves it. Those things have about the same size bed, and it hauls his big toolbox and his gear nicely. Just because it isn’t an 8 foot bed doesn’t mean it’s only good for hauling a few bags of…
If they dropped safety equipment and things like sound deadening and nice materials in favor of light ones, then no one would buy them and the car would fail. With the choice between a creaky, loud and jarring interior in one, and a nice, refined interior on another, but weighs 200lbs more, 95% of new car buyers are…
Well that’s disappointing.
I think that’s smart. It’s funnier than I thought it would be. We only saw it in theater because my lady and I have a weird thing for the F&F movies, it’s become a thing for us.
