The Raptor is to the average 4x4 pickup what the 911 is to the average sports coupe. They do the same jobs, just one does that job immensely better.

Meh, 0-60 isn’t everything. My Cherokee back in the day didn’t have any problem at elevation loaded up with gear and too big of tires for the gearing. Sure, it had a torquey motor, but it was ~10 seconds 0-60 even stock. I’m sure it would be fine in practice, not exactly fun, but perfectly functional.

I rented a 2.7 Ecoboost for a week (it was all they had as a rental, so they upgraded me to it for free), and I ended up averaging 21 with it. Albeit I wasn’t too hard on it, but I did floor it on freeway on-ramps when it was clear.
