Jesus, man. Only 5 seconds? That’s fucking fast! I remember being impressed in 2005 reading car magazines that the new Mustang GT did 0-60 in 5 seconds. And now here we are talking about a 5500 lbs monster of an SUV accelerating that fast, and it just isn’t enough??

What a time to live in when 450hp isn’t enough.

Like Hammerhead mentioned, that would help in the event of the cable snapping, but not with the tree snapping like this.

“On another note, the 3 engines are too much, especially when the base 4 and is 10 hp down on the mid level 3.5, and the Ecoboost is just the same engine with turbos on it.”

I guess people are entitled to their opinions, no matter how wrong they may be.

I... I must have read that wrong... Surely you did not just call an RS6 Avant a beigemobile...

Yeah, you definitely 100% missed the point of that statement. Of course new cars are faster in every technical and measurable way, that’s what progress is.

Thank you!

Looks great on those Rotiforms, man!

True dat, just went through this last week. 15 minutes with a random orbital, including setup:

Did no one notice this dude’s Kinja handle? Fucking hilarious

Oh nice! That’s good to know, Thanks man. I’ll definitely be looking into that

I would also like to know this

The deciding factor seems to be since it can go between AWD and 4WD by locking and unlocking the center diff, that it’s still just considered an AWD car.

Audi Engineer #1: Let’s put the timing chain on the rear of the engine instead of the front!

I think that ship has sailed, unfortunately.

Nice, that’s good to hear actually. Much of my info is coming from friends in the B5 S4 community, so I wasn’t aware the allroad got an updated transmission.

From what I have heard, they are more reliable day to day, but the timing chain service is ridiculously expensive and complicated to work on

I’ve seen that car and it’s amazing! Seriously detailed work on that car, far beyond my abilities

I agree with that. My original title was “Here’s How I Turned the World’s Least Reliable Car Into an Offroader” — but such is the way of things!
