I thought the AoS were cleaning up the mess that Thor made in England in Dark World? Didn't the next week's episode have them walking around the same set? gathering specimens and stuff? That seems like a bit more of a connection than simply mentioning it happened.
It was the alternate ending, where Momby wins, takes her head and rules OZ while constantly mocking that mirror chick... It got real dark real fast :/
