I wish i had some of that balance in my life where i would not get sucked in all day on days i should be working on grad school papers or cleaning the house, or running errands. too many days get lost playing games, when i know i should spend part of the day doing something more productive as well.

well there are some big differences in the way they play out. SC is mostly focused on macro, where as WC allows more microing. also heroes in WC3 are a ton of fun. WC3 and its expansion the frozen throne are so solid and addicting in a way starcraft can never be.
