If you're running 4.2, it should already have notification access from the lockscreen.

We all lack an infinite amount of knowledge without the possibility of making a dent. The hope of improvement is a poor joke against the vast, cold ocean of unknown unknowns.
You can already do this on 4.2. Or at least on my Nexus 4 you can. Both notification and the quick settings (two finger pull down).
9.3Vector was just providing a story of their encounter with Javon many years ago. And how would it be anywhere near relevant to the cops now?
I think it started with the earnings miss in Q3 (miss versus expectations; it was still awesome). Then, as many investors start taking their gains this year as it's become more and more likely we go off the fiscal cliff and capital gains taxes rise, it's snowballed into a full-on technical sell-off.
Why do you think Mr. Cook's performance is behind the sell off?

I don't think he made it clear, but I think he was pulling a "oh wait, that wasn't Reagan! that was Kennedy!" thing to play off this song.
A good deal of the time I use a laptop, it's actually in my lap. It looks like you can only use that keyboard on a desk... and once I'm at a desk, I would rather use a bluetooth keyboard than that thing.
Never has "My gut tells me" felt more ridiculous. This whole prediction debate was the funniest part of this election.
He did pretty good in the 2010 Senate races (missed 3, 2 of which were predicted Republicans losing).
Well, in order to come out better with the lump sum you basically have to get about 5% annualized and considering huge sums of money are usually invested very conservatively, that's not easy right now. You have to go out pretty far on maturity to get any bond that's above 5% while maintaining investment-grade only and…
Hallelujah! I preferred using Google Docs until I saw the terrible mobile spreadsheet editor from before and changed over to libre + quickoffice + dropbox for all of my stuff since it's mostly spreadsheets. Now I can move back into Drive.
No, you're lucky. In this analogy, you just nabbed a dog that doesn't want to chase cars or start fights with other dogs. Good for you!
Ditto. Nintendo basically has me for life just for Zelda. I have a warm heart right now just thinking about it.
Wow, seeing the icon for SimCity Deluxe brought back some real bitterness towards EA (they never updated it for 4.x so it works on my old 2.x stuff, but not my hawt new phone, the N4). I imagine they're not going to and will release a new game next year along with SimCity 5. Not sure if my pride will keep me from…
So were you L2 (meaning, you should have your phone right now) or L3? I was L2 and got it Tuesday morning and it's awesome. It's easily the most breakable phone I've ever had, but I like it.
It's not really automatic if I'm just going off how you responded to their arguments. And I agree with you completely on io9.
You're not going to convince him, but at least the responses from you and Rathorial raised interesting points. I'm just now realizing that Kotaku might have some of the best dialogue of any of the Gawker sites.
