Actually you might be right. 1080i is usually transmitted at 60 fields per second (a field being 1 of the two sets of 540 vertical lines) whereas 1080p transmits at 30 frames per second (1 field per frame in progressive. 2 fields per frame with interlaced.)

If you're willing to do the work, rooting the 8.9 and sticking a jelly bean ROM on it would probably get you the best tablet for the money, but I would be a little fearful of Amazon trying to unroot me. I remember they put up a decent fight against it the first time around.

I understand. My main point is there's a huge gray area in the middle. Would Dave Ramsey really suggest someone pay off a $10,000 debt at 8% before a $11,000 debt at 23%? I can't imagine he would. This doesn't have to be a black or white answer. If a person has three credit cards with $800 (10%), $7500 (12%), and $10,000 (16%), you should definitely pay off the $800 first just to get it out of the way, because the interest savings otherwise is negligible.

Does your ad block software get rid of the full page 15 second takeover ads that happen occasionally on Gizmodo posts? It greys out the text and covers up most of the article. I usually just scroll down to comments and wait for it to go away.

Apparently, my breaking point is somewhere north of Gizmodo's much more intrusive ads than anything I've seen from Google.

Last time I checked, you can't default to desktop view in the preview. I've heard somewhere that desktop will be the default view in the Professional version, but not Premium, or whatever they end up calling the consumer version.

Because the reality of the situation is that attempting to take away America's guns would tear this country apart. The idea of self-defense and personal responsibility is too deeply rooted to extract and guns are the easiest method to accomplish that.
