What I don't see here in this argument is the issue of the student loan's type. Keep in mind that the Stafford loan is a government issued loan that is prime+ and it can NEVER be forgiven (unless something tragic happens to you)... The interest on Staffords compounds on a daily basis as well. I worked for SallieMae…

Yep...I did commencement last weekend. Same old stuff...and what's worse, the keynote speaker was an alum. She did an OK job, was articulate, spoke without saying "um" and "like" so it wasn't all bad.
