Ok. This is complete nonsense. It’s like saying that the extra power made the wreck and damage worse. The velocity of impact is the principle factor, along with what objects were struck and crash worthiness of the car, in causing the damage to the car and the injuries to the occupants. I maintain that a 700HP antique c…
Yes. I own a 2014 Pilot myself. Its not a truck and not particularly rugged as anyone knows who has crawled around one may realize. It does suit the family needs and I so wanted to get away from the swollen egg styling of all the crossovers.
It’s the Co-Tanger antenna from Disk Smith Electronics!
Something English. Jaguar or Land Rover. They can be had for pennies on the dollar off of original list price. Keep a bunch of money in reserve for repairs.
Nope. For awhile stations were trying this HD radio thing (AM and FM) which used parts of the signal to transmit digital data programming which was supposed to be higher quality. Not sure if its still a thing.
I just got back from a vacation in Spain. Imagine my surprise that I was able to pull up to the pump at the Repsol station, fill my tank, and then go inside to pay. It was like it was in the USA 30 years ago.
Couldn’t help but post for a laugh.
Hamster has done quite a few shows completely unrelated to cars when he was with the BBC. He did a spectacular one where he recreates the Guy Fawkes gunpower plot explosion. He did Engineering Connections, How to Build a Planet, Crash Course and others I can’t recall at the moment. His Evel Knievel special was also…
This is what my neighbor bought his 500e for. Give to his kid to drive to high school.
My neighbor bought one in white, not as pretty, but with about the same mileage for $5000. The dealer he got it from had bought it at auction without realizing he had bid on an electric and only when the dealer’s mechanic called him asking where the engine was, realized he brought back an electric vehicle. After the…
A fellow by the name of Chris Behan imported a Puma into the USA in 2017 and besides doing a series of YouTube videos of his travels in it across the US and Canada, he shot his own remake of the 1997 video in San Francisco with his car. The car he brought over was essentially rescued from the scrappers and he fixed it…
As a matter of fact, an internet friend of mine was on a cruise ship docked in Havana yesterday. He had gone out on a sight seeing excursion in the morning and returned to the ship for lunch. While he was eating, at about 1PM the captain came over the ship intercom and announced that nobody could leave the ship…
Just to give some perspective here, about 20 years ago the Segway was a secret project by the celebrated genius Dean Kamen that brought the insulin pump to medical science. The hype in the lead up to it’s introduction promised an end to then current ideas of urban planning. It was expected to be a quantum leap in the…
You can look on the bottom of the cans that are suspect and you will see 4 semi-perforated vents that are scribed in the metal. I’m guessing the defect is that the can overheats and these vents blow out and any nearby flame ignites the oil and propellant.
I’d love to know the story of the Peugeot plate on the dash. Was Petrovych trying to have pretensions of Frenchiness to impress women or something? I didn’t see any mention of Peugeot bits in the build, but given the Heinz 57 nature of a homebuilt, who knows?
