Skiing.

I had to double-check to make sure I wasn’t actually reading The Onion. I wasn’t. All I need to say is: Good!

I bought an ELY02 in December and find it to be a most cool gizmo. The ELY02 appears to be a bit slimmer than this item, and with a longer flexible neck, but it is “Currently unavailable. We don’t know when or if this item will be back in stock”. I’d buy another if I could.

And that’s how I feel about it.

There is almost never a scenario where acting as a bank for a family member ends well.

I don’t have one, so I don’t really know how they work. I don’t intend to get one, don’t wish to be spied upon. But, a “Smart Speaker” isn’t smart enough to remember what time it is without an internet connection? And it can’t remember to wake you up either? Strange. I still don’t want one.

Interesting take. I never buy coffee out, unless I’m having breakfast out. I buy whole beans (“Organic Super Dark”) at Sprouts, often on sale for $6.99 a pound. I use a Cuisinart drip coffee maker. I consider this pretty good coffee, at a pretty cheap price. Have I downgraded already? I guess I could buy big bags of

I have some UPS, being a retiree. UPS has increased its quarterly dividend 5¢ each year for some years now. I’ve always had a DRIP (Dividend ReInvestment Plan), and most of my shares are inside an IRA.

Re the RV suggested by Jason: If all is as it seems, that RV you featured is a hell of a buy! I just wasted a half hour looking thru Denver Craigslist and didn’t see anything anywhere close to that good a deal. I’m not even in the market for an RV right now but if that deal were in Denver I think I’d buy it. But I

I’ve made my own pasta for years. Am I the only one that mixes in some semolina flour? I use around 1/3 semolina (but I never measure anything anymore when making it).

I’ve had one of these for years and use it often. The pasta is great! My wish is for a linguine-sized cutter, that is, wider than the spaghetti size but narrower than the fettuccine one. We never use the spaghetti cutter, only the fettuccine one. My hand-crank has such a cutter, but I’m too lazy to use it. In fact

My experience is that the IP does turn off after done cooking. The display stays on, and counts up the time since it finished, and it can’t let off the pressure by itself, but the heat turns off. Of course residual heat and pressure mean that some cooking will continue after the thing turns off.

I don’t believe that either is the case. She’s about 82 and either made it up (her kids and grandkids are iStuff fanpeople) or heard it somewhere, possibly on a Facebook group.

By the way, though the IP is made in China (like most everything) the company is in Canada, where some of the people speak English. On the other hand, the founder and CEO is listed on their website as Dr. Robert Wang.

An issue is that they keep changing the Instant Pot (an older Canadian relative calls hers an “iPot”). I have a “Duo Plus 6" which was bought last May. My controls are different from the ones you depict, but from looking at Amazon just now I see that they are also different from the “Duo Plus 6" currently on sale.

I’m pretty competent with computers, but the self-serve registers hate me!

Might I add names with apostrophes.

“Month-old”? I bought one last May. Paid the same $100. It’s great though - I’d highly recommend it!

Literally! (And I’m one of those who still knows how to use “literally” correctly.)

Ally’s savings accounts are currently at 1.25%. That seems paltry, and it is, but compared to the .05% (yes, that’s one twentieth of one per cent) at my Credit Union it is pretty good!
