Totally don’t get the paragraph about small appliances. Am I to worry that a toaster or fan will turn itself on? And how much power does a microwave or coffee maker clock use? I doubt it comes anywhere close to even 1¢ over a month’s vacation. Not worth the time spent unplugging then replugging and resetting the

No, but they sometimes do illegal things. If I drive without holding a valid drivers’ license, am I driving illegally, or am I an “undocumented driver”?

I would suggest that people make sure their “nearest body of water” is a pretty placid one, and that they make sure they have some idea of what they’re doing, before kayaking in a craft like this. A few years ago a person near and dear to me came frighteningly close to drowning while kayaking beyond her and her

Well, I’ve lived pretty close to Denver for 40+ years, but I’ve never heard of a Denver steak. Denver omelette, but not steak. Maybe it’s like trying to find French Toast in France?

As an avid scuba diver (often with my wife) I suppose I should take offense, but this is kind of funny. However, I certainly don’t see any evidence that diving is “a popular way to kill your spouse,” and I don’t see any greater risk in scuba diving than many other pastimes. Think of driving a car down a two-lane

I have a similar problem at my local Kroger-owned store. One example: When asked the number of bags you want to buy (that’s what you have to do in Boulder, buy bags) you can’t touch the zero button - you have to to touch the entirely separate button that says “No Bags”.

I hope you mean “casual” and not “consensual”.

I have several of these. They are good for the price, but the strobe is useless. I guess they’re trying to emulate the “Tactical” lights, that cops can theoretically a blind bad guy with if need be.  I wish they would add a third, lower brightness level instead -- that would be ever so much more useful, because often

+1,000! But it doesn’t apply in all cases, though it did in mine.

You can take vacations (or substitute other spending) just as nice, or actually nicer, if you pay for them by saving up rather than using a credit card and paying that off over time. There’s that dead time while you’re paying off the old and saving for the new, but after that you’re better off, as you’re collecting

“You know,” said Arthur, “it’s at times like this, when I’m trapped in a Vogon airlock with a man from Betelgeuse, and about to die of asphyxiation in deep space that I really wish I’d listened to what my mother told me when I was young.”
“Why, what did she tell you?”
“I don’t know, I didn’t listen.”

I have one of these. It’s not very accurate. Just put a review on Amazon to that effect.

Why am I still gray?

Just got mine last week. I’m on the 5 year plan due to family history. If you want to laugh a lot as you prep, read Dave Barry’s “A Journey into My Colon -- and Yours”. It’s hilarious but has some pretty serious parts too. I reread this every time I have to get another one (this was my third).

When you take home that cute kitten or puppy, or older animal from the shelter, you are automatically signing up for this duty. It’s hard but it must be done.

I’ve been meaning to get a safe. But because of the area of Colorado I live in and  the history of serious wildfires in recent years, for me protection from fire is rather more important than protection from theft. This safe doesn’t appear to offer any fire protection. So I guess I’ll keep looking, but thanks for the

And perhaps a bit of nutmeg.

Rice Pudding HAS to have raisins in it. There’s just no question about it.
