It's basically a laptop, but with a very large step forwards in portability. It's one of a kind. It truly is a laptop/tablet hybrid. I'm sorry but if you still can't see why this is important to the technology industry then you are either incredibly close minded or quite dim.

They addressed it ages ago, they offer significant rewards to developers for taking up the platform. I know what you mean though, the app store has nothing of much worth. Though that's changing. Spotify came a few months ago, and more important apps such as Evernote exist.
