Who are these people that feel forced into small talk with the cashier? They say, “Hi, did you find everything you were looking for today?” I say, “Yes,” and that’s the end of it.

I like to say anyone with a day’s training can scan and bag, but not everybody has the day’s training. Recently I’ve been opting for the staffed checkout because I get a whole lot more impatient watching six people suck at ringing up groceries than watching one person do it competently.
Great review. My biggest concern going into Starfield is that they were trying to do too much with it. After spending a few weeks with it, I can confirm my concerns were validated. It’s a game that presents you with so many incredible ideas—maybe some of the most interesting and (more importantly, this being a game…
Allow me to slightly disagree with Nicholas Payne, although I think he’s mostly correct about the exploration of the world. I just disagree about the emergent gameplay/story stuff. He’s correct in that a lot of the travel can be boiled down to clicking on a planet or city to fast travel there instantly, but I have…
Yay someone validated your preconceived notions
what the hell is even this
I’m just gonna say that I’ve started playing this game and...I think you need to understand eurojank simulator games—admittedly a very weird and niche place—to know where this is coming from.
A lot of the popularity I think comes from GTA RP where there are a lot of players that play as police, which is a different perspective. And probably some of it comes from eagerness of players for GTA 6, so even a similar game like this that gives a new playstyle will appeal to them.
Why not a police sim? It’s a game and games should allow one to take up the mantle of someone else and walk in their shoes, be it a person of another gender, profession, country or a dragon, a spirit or a cloud.
Author knows exactly what they are doing, getting clicks. Whether they actually believe anything they are typing is up for debate
I hate the pregnancy. I mean I REALLY hate it. Kelly is too smart to let that happen and NASA is too controlling. Even ignoring the lack of an obstetrician and pediatrician, nobody would be excited about testing the effects of low gravity and high radiation on a developing fetus. Not to mention the work required in…
I wish I could give negative stars. This comment is so completely ignorant, and it seems willfully at that, that it should be demoted into oblivion. For one, that’s a Philippine cop, not a lot of space there. Not a lot of violent crime that runs a high probability of resulting in a 100+MPH chase across mostly empty…
Nothing gets you de-selected faster than bringing up jury nullification.
I think the biggest picture here is that the PAX events are meant specifically to be that: Events.
Came here to say this. That might possibly be the dumbest reason I can think of to get rid of a car you “Loved” and now own and have no trouble with. “I’ll teach those people at Carvana! I’ll sell my car after they already took my money and don’t give a shit anymore!”
I guess I don’t see the problem in repurposing an existing structure, and but for the fact that I sort of have no interest in hanging out with a bunch of strangers on a man-made island... it actually looks pretty cool? I have often dreamed of having a supervillain fortress built on an offshore oil platform, and this…
... from what it sounds like, Saudi Arabia has a spare oil rig they aren’t using, and rather than simply dismantle it, are repurposing it into a resort. That isn’t necessarily a bad thing and is actually environmentally friendly since we are recycling what is normally a fairly complex feat of engineering.
In-N-Out fries suck not because they are fresh cut but because they are fried once. Look at any guide to making good fries and every single one requires the fries to be blanched at a lower temperature (to cook the starch properly) and then fried at a higher temperature for crispness. There are one-fry hacks that start…
The price point, it’s a quality burger that’s better than any other fast food joint for the same or lower price. There are better burgers, but you’re going to pay more, and not just a little more, quite a bit more.
It just ran a little low on plot fluid
