Fighting games are pretty much the only games I care about anymore. But then, I was always in it for the gameplay. :)

Kind of surprised the article didn't discuss it at all. But the DLC is a huge downside. I played and loved the beta, but I'm not buying the game until a "game of the year" type version comes out with all the DLC included.

Yep me too. The game is just utterly boring. Most of my matches consist of either hunter finding the monster very early and beat the crap outta it or we spent 5-10 minutes trying to find a monster because the pet can't find its way up the mountain and the monster evolved to final form and beat the crap outta us.

I'm in the same boat as you. Sure I only played the Alpha test but it was one of the most boring games I've played. I couldn't get into the game at all during that time and the matches just dragged on and on. I really liked L4D but hated L4D2 and I have no interest in Evolve.

I really want to be interested in this game, but all the shit I hear about dlc and blah blah blah is just deafening. It's literally all that comes to my mind when I hear about this game and that's sad because it looks like a ton of fun.

I find the game creepy as fuck, but the "encouraging abuse" bit doesn't hold up. We can't on one hand say that violent games don't encourage violence but then lament games like this for encouraging child abuse.

While that sentiment certainly has value, there's a difference between a nipple and spanking scantily clad children.
