Go Ticos!

Got invaded several times last night, as it was the first time I'd reached Belfry tower- I had never been invaded previously. I think I died in 5 out of 6 invasions, but on two of those occasions, both the invader and myself died. So 3 kills, 5 deaths? I need this guide here, is what I'm saying.

Wait, which country are you talking about? :p

Oh he does not give a single f about video games. But I personally don't care, I like this role he has of the outsider pointing out the absurdity of some things in the gaming sphere.

I'm surprised and somewhat disgusted at the prevalence of defenders for the drawings.
To expand; if somebody comes out with an incredibly racist comic, perpetuating misled stereotypes and advocating the destruction of another race, would that be okay because - to quote a comment below - "people know the difference

I'd highly recommend finding a good crew if you're wanting to play more GTA Online. My crew is just a few old college and high school friends that are now scattered around the country, and it makes it a hell of a lot better than playing with randoms. The missions are good co-op fun, and the racing is quite good for

#2 doesn't bother me at all. I love doing the missions, but trying to do them with a dozen extraneous jackasses who seem to live to pester others would just make trying to get anything done impossible. You can access some of the races and activities from the free mode map, but it will still take you into the lobbies

Wah?! Why is auto-aim still a thing?!?

I brought this up in the old article and I'll bring it up again here: how, after practically perfecting 3rd person shooting in Max Payne 3, did GTA V end up with such shit-aiming? It boggles the mind.

I think her boilerplate statement (which starts every video of this series) about how games, or any media, can still be fun or of good quality while containing sexist elements, is what many people seem to miss. She's almost always focused on the elements rather than the whole games.

Using the source material's sexism as an excuse to generate more sexism can often be a valid argument, but games rarely present the sort of self-critical narrative environment necessary to recognize the sexism as detrimental.

It wasn't solely preemptive. There were already comments up of the like the OP described when I saw it posted so it was both preemptive and reactionary. A few years ago, I'd agree with you. But I've been on Kotaku since the beginning, and I understand the OP's frustration at this alarming consistency. But don't

I'm not disagreeing that there are prostitutes or things like that in the game (though I think this particular achievement is done out of jest, referring old westerns, which is a problem within itself), but it feels a little narrow-minded to purposely exclude the strong female characters just to point out the bad

In the video there's the instance of prostitutes being tied up and plopped on the back of your horse, and despite the fact that you're about to put them on the train tracks for a hilarious achievement they still casually offer to blow you.

No, I'm saying that giving the idiots more attention than they deserve is completely counter-productive. You're practically asking for the kinds of people you just mentioned to show up and start talking even more shit, so why bother? We know they exist, you don't have to bring it up every time.

The six-word horror story.

Why aren't there any women in those codes?

Yeah, I'm guessing there's a pretty big party going down right now in San Jose (and not the one with all the Tech geeks.)

As a lady-gamer (yes i am game yes i play girl) it might be nice to play a few more ladies! Tomb raider and lolly pop chainsaw get a bit drab (TR is great tho) I don't mind the males, but I can understand that the largest market for games are boys, and to appease the market making male characters is the easiest and
