Very likely - though I do recognize the knee-jerk reaction common among other members of my general cohort (said as a late-80s, band-playing, DC denizen). Feels more like the standard punk judginess common among aging not-really-punk-anymore’s.

Did you actually listen to any of his speeches? Or are you basing your impression off of media coverage (i.e. “what he said about his wife” and “what he said about a hacking group”)?

I met him during the Senate primary, liked him, thought he had no chance (in the primary!), and remain shocked. Beto is pretty much in the same position, except not currently holding a seat in government. He has a very similar, very strong team around him. 

seems like something that would take up the space better suited for Tucker Carlson videos. 

The future is, most obviously, Chinese. But sure, we’re “the greatest country on Earth.”  

not that much difference between him and Obama at this point in his rise, aside from a Senate victory of course.
