Robot Carnival was one of the reasons I got into Anime! And you can only get it illegally as far as I know. Nothing but love for the Scifi Anime Saturdays!

I would even put three of Rene Laloux's movies together as a whole. La Planete Sauvage (Fantastic Planet), Les maîtres du temps (Time Masters), and Gandahar are three scifi animations that every scifi fan should see.

The original Evil Dead was a straight up horror movie, and this is supposed to be a re-imagining of that movie. I'd agree with you if they were remaking Evil Dead 2 or Army of Darkness as those movies can't be separated from their comedy. The original actually was a pretty run of the mill horror movie.

I wholeheartedly agree that salvia is a disgusting hallucinogen. Don't judge all hallucinogens by your experience with salvia.
