On behalf of countries who are routinely blown apart every other week, many due to the Petyr Baelish School of American Foreign Policy, I’m gonna pretend you didn’t say that about other countries and 9/11. Tragedies happen everywhere and they suck everywhere; we just had to AmericanExceptionalism(tm) ours into “OUR

When they beat the New England Patriots.

I agree. This should have been $200 on the high end. $150 (with no games and maybe a three-month Game Pass trial) would have been ideal and probably would have generated a lot of excitement.

This is no reason to switch temporary alliances. ESPN folks and various talking heads will look at this as a stand-alone and, understandably criticize it because the Mike Greenbergs and Jalen Roses and Will Cains of the world haven’t watched one Sixers post game presser this year.

Embiid the Dragon

You know, I’m in the minority (according to some) that actually found TLJ pretty good, as it tried to move the story into a different direction instead of rehashing more of the same (as some would prefer). The Force Awakens was also good in its own way, because people really wanted to get new “cannon” Star Wars

I can’t stress this enough. I have my complaints about TLJ, but Rey being a nobody is one of the best decisions that Rian made. And if they retcon that to make Rey be a Skywalker (even if she’s just some sort of “honorary” Skywalker) I am going to be so upset.

Star Wars writes in rhymes, so as a rhyme, it is very likely referring to Ben following Anakin’s footstep, rejoining the light.

You really think they’d reveal the Rey retcon in the title of the damn movie?

Holy hell, that didn’t even occur to me. A Luke/Palpatine force ghost showdown would be spectacular. That would be along the same level of geek-out that happened when Yoda pulled out his lightsaber in Episode II.

It wouldn’t ruin TLJ for me. It would just make 7 and 9 even more safe and bland and rehashed fan service.

Thank you!

I hope you’re right, because if they retcon her heritage I’ll be so damn pissed.

So while I got legitimate goosebumps with the first scene, I fear that the “move on to the next thing” message of TLJ is now gone and JJ Abrams’s mirroring of the OT is back.

THE RISE OF SKYWALKER?! If the Skywalker they’re talking about is Rey -- after they did the best thing they possibly could by freeing her of that shackle and making her her own character -- then I’m out.

What got me was that shot of C-3Po on the speeder, finally our boy back in the action!

Me five minutes ago: I think I’m finally done with Star Wars, no way I’m gonna be as hyped for this one as-

Trailer was really good and the Emperor stuff is going to make people talk for awhile, but that title just isn’t good.

I’m SURE they had mental problems etc. but why can’t people ever just kill themselves.

I’m not terribly far in so I’m not sure how bad it is past the General at the top of Ashina Castle stairs, but Lady Butterfly made me a bit nuts with how often I’d lose lock. Not a good thing with her, particularly since I had a hell of a time finally beating(read: cheesing) her. I’ve also noticed it can be a bit
